Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue, entitled “Career Exploration and Adaptation in Students,” highlights the role of career exploration in the life transitions and trajectories of diverse student populations. Career exploration is understood as an intentional process through which individuals imagine, test against reality, compare, and evaluate pre-existing and emerging hypotheses about their interests. In this way, it supports and guides affective, cognitive, and behavioral investment in different career options and life-career configurations. Career exploration plays a fundamental role in adaptive processes by enabling individuals to map and interpret their life contexts. It contributes to identifying barriers and opportunities, defining and clarifying goals, and fostering learning and adaptation. Although it is one of the most important components of career interventions, career exploration remains insufficiently investigated. Given its relevance to adaptation and well-being in educational and work-related contexts, this Special Issue focuses particularly on career exploration among students throughout their educational and career development. It welcomes fundamental and applied studies, whether theoretical or empirical, examining the relationships between career exploration and adaptation across diverse student populations. Its goal is to bring together original contributions that deepen the understanding of career exploration as a central process underlying identity construction, adaptation, and human development.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Behavioral Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
