Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The evolution toward green electromobility will be a revolution. The mobility requirements of tomorrow imply taking into account various elements regarding energy, power supply, infrastructures, technologies, the environment, socioeconomics, and politics, in the context of social transformation that develops far beyond the transport industry. Artificial intelligence is a technological trend whose popularity has exploded in recent years, not only because it is a very promising market, but also because it offers new opportunities for different research directions. Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to systems or machines that mimic human intelligence to perform various activities and can be improved iteratively based on the information it collects. Artificial Intelligence is present and integrated in more and more fields, and applications for any field, either for efficiency, or for simplifying processes, or in everyday life. This Special Issue is intended to collect research articles or reviews that address artificial intelligence applications in the transport industry, especially green electromobility.
This Special Issue includes but is not limited to the following topics:
- Machine learning algorithms for the transport industry;
- The interaction between humans and machine through biometric recognition;
- Effective management tools and accurate data on which decisions can be made;
- Process automation;
- Development of virtual assistants;
- Language technology and natural language processing;
- The process of converting spoken words into digital format in order to transcribe them into useful code for various software applications useful in the transport industry;
- Neural networks applied to the transport industry;
- Intelligent 5G technology for the transport industry;
- Current and future trends in applications of intelligent electromobility.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
