Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Dental implantology is considered a branch of modern oral surgery, offering effective solutions for the functional and aesthetic rehabilitation of edentulous patients. However, many patients present with insufficient bone volume and require bone augmentation procedures using dedicated materials and surgical techniques. This Special Issue will also include a collection of articles on the use of stem cells derived from platelet concentrates and adipose tissue, which are now widely applied in regenerative medicine.

This Special Issue will gather studies on bone and soft tissue augmentation using various techniques, ranging from fundamental biological principles to the latest research directions. Treatment contraindications and current surgical techniques will be discussed, with particular attention to complications that may arise during treatment and strategies for prevention and management.

The latest innovations will also be highlighted, such as the use of digital technology in treatment planning and the development of bioactive or customized biomaterials. This Special Issue stems from the need to collect articles and research that promote an interdisciplinary approach and rigorous therapeutic protocols, with the ultimate goal of achieving long-term success in implant-supported restorations.
