Dear Colleagues,
Applied Sciences celebrates an important milestone with the publication of its 15th volume. To mark this occasion, a Special Issue entitled “15th Anniversary of Applied Sciences—Emerging Applications in the Recent 2 Years” has been published.
Since its foundation, Applied Sciences has shown steady development and consolidation as an international journal in applied research. The journal publishes research across a broad spectrum of applied scientific and engineering disciplines, encompassing the physical sciences, chemistry and chemical engineering, biology and bioengineering, environmental sciences, and advanced technologies, with a strong emphasis on practical applications and interdisciplinary integration. Over the years, the journal has continuously enhanced its editorial practices, strengthened the rigor of its peer-review process, and improved publication efficiency, contributing to its growing visibility and scientific influence within the research community. By combining rigorous scientific standards with an efficient manuscript handling process, Applied Sciences has established itself as a preferred platform for the dissemination of scientific and technological innovations.
This Anniversary Special Issue presents emerging applications, cutting-edge methodologies, and recent advances developed in recent years across the research areas covered by Applied Sciences. The collected contributions reflect current trends in applied research and showcase innovative experimental and technological developments.
Articles submitted to this Special Issue will undergo the journal’s standard rigorous peer-review process. This Issue is intended to serve as a platform for highlighting recent scientific progress and ongoing developments shaping the field of applied sciences.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
