Special Issue Information
Sustainable crop production requires the development of agronomic strategies that maintain high yield potential, improve quality traits, and enhance crop stability under changing environmental conditions. This Special Issue aims to compile recent advances in sustainable agronomic approaches that contribute to improved crop performance, resource-use efficiency, and resilience against biotic and abiotic stresses. We particularly encourage the submission of research articles and reviews that address innovative crop management practices, including nutrient management, irrigation strategies, crop rotation, conservation agriculture, precision farming, plant growth regulation, and integrated pest management. Contributions focusing on the interaction between agronomic practices, genotype performance, environmental variability, and crop quality characteristics are also welcome. We additionally seek studies that employ physiological, biochemical, molecular, remote sensing, and modelling approaches to understand crop responses and improve yield stability. This Special Issue aims to provide a platform for exchanging knowledge on practical and innovative solutions that support the sustainable intensification of crop production while maintaining high-quality agricultural products.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
