Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In this Special Issue, we aim to collect and present a collection of original papers that highlight successful conservation efforts focused on amphibians and reptiles. Over the past few decades, numerous initiatives have been launched to protect these highly vulnerable vertebrates and their ecosystems, many of which are threatened with extinction. Researchers, institutions, and organizations have implemented a wide range of actions, creating a rich and valuable repository of success stories that can serve as a guide for future conservation strategies. This issue focuses on species that have benefited from various human interventions, including habitat conservation, captive breeding programs, invasive species eradication, emerging pathologies screening and exclusion, and other targeted conservation actions. By highlighting these positive results, we aim to provide an optimistic and forward-looking perspective on global conservation efforts for amphibians and reptiles. These stories not only demonstrate the effectiveness of well-planned actions but also provide valuable insights and inspiration for current and future initiatives. Contributions from different regions of the world are strongly encouraged to ensure a comprehensive and diverse view of effective conservation practices, highlighting both the challenges and the successes in conserving these important species and their habitats.
