Recruiting Editors for Taxonomy

Taxonomy, a new journal published by MDPI, is currently recruiting Editorial Board Members (EBMs).

Taxonomy (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/taxonomy) is an international, interdisciplinary open access journal. It publishes original research articles, review articles, and communications that cover the conception, naming, and classification of groups of organisms, including but not limited to animals, plants, viruses, and microorganisms. It particularly emphasizes the importance and multidisciplinary significance of taxonomy, with contributions which address the implications of all fields for taxonomy or which improve our understanding of all fields through taxonomic knowledge, especially in relation to the nature, origins, and conservation of biodiversity at all taxonomic levels.

As an Editorial Board Member, you would be responsible for the following:

• Providing suggestions for the development of the journal;
• Prescreening submissions and making decisions on whether they should be rejected or accepted for processing;
• Recommending current topics of interest and suggesting potential Guest Editors;
• Supervising at least one Special Issue related to your research field per year (you are then entitled to publish an additional paper free of charge);
• Promoting Taxonomy and increasing its visibility at related academic conferences.
