Empowering Academic Growth with MDPI Academic Publishing Workshop at Department of Chemical Technology, Faculty of Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, 22 January 2026, Thailand


We are pleased to announce the MDPI Academic Publishing Workshop, a strategic collaboration between Department of Chemical Technology, Faculty of Sciences, Chulalongkorn University and MDPI. This workshop highlights our joint commitment to promoting interdisciplinary research that tackles global challenges through innovative approaches, cross-sector cooperation, and impactful solutions.

This workshop marks the foundation of an enduring partnership focused on enhancing research capabilities between Department of Chemical Technology, Faculty of Sciences, Chulalongkorn University and MDPI. By highlighting cutting-edge trends in various fields, promoting open access publishing practices, and enabling direct interaction with journal editors and industry leaders, this event will provide participants—particularly early-stage researchers and innovators—with the tools to expand their research influence and foster international collaborations.

Chair

Biography

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prapan Kuchonthara is head of the Department of Chemical Technology, Chulalongkorn University. He earned his PhD from the University of Tokyo, Japan. His expertise is in the area of energy technology and chemical systems engineering. His research mainly focuses on high-efficiency energy conversion, especially through biomass and waste gasification for hydrogen production and synthesis gas, as well as using process simulation to evaluate and improve power generation systems.

Biography

Dr. Juthathip Poofery holds a PhD in biochemistry from the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, Thailand. She began working at MDPI in 2021 as an Assistant Editor for Medicina and advanced to the position of Section Managing Editor in 2022. Since 2023, Dr. Poofery has been serving as the Group Leader of the “Medical Science” Section, where she oversees editorial operations and contributes to the advancement of research in the field.

Dr. Krit Inthajak obtained his PhD in engineering and technology from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University. He joined MDPI in March 2020 as an Assistant Editor for Molecules. He was appointed as a Section Managing Editor in 2021 and worked as a Group Leader from 2021 to 2024. He is now one of MDPI's Regional Journal Relations Specialists for the Asia–Pacific region.

Ms. Ploy Assavajamroon obtained her master’s degree in chemistry from Thammasat University, Thailand, in 2020 and joined MDPI as an Assistant Editor for the journal Crystals in the same year. She became a Section Managing Editor in 2021 and a Group Leader in 2022. She is currently one of MDPI's Regional Journal Relations Specialists for the Asia–Pacific region.
