Journal of Clinical Medicine | Editor-in-Chief and Section Editors-in-Chief Annual Meeting Held on 17 February 2025

Recently, Journal of Clinical Medicine (JCM, ISSN: 2077-0383) held the Editor-in-Chief and Section Editors-in-Chief Annual Meeting on 17 February 2025, 8:30–10:00 CET. This significant event was hosted by the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Kent Doi, and fifteen Section Editors-in-Chief were in attendance, each bringing their unique expertise and insights. We are grateful for the support of all attendees. This meeting presented an opportunity for us to come together to review the journal’s past developments and look forward to a better year.
We reviewed and discussed the following topics with the attendees:
- An overview of the journal’s performance in 2024;
- The current Section status, a new Section established, and hot topic data;
- Marketing activities, virtual conferences, society cooperation, journal awards, and social media promotion.
The following information was covered in the discussion:
- Currently, the publication and citation data of the journal are satisfactory. In 2025, with the aim of enhancing the journal’s impact factor, the Editorial Board Members put forward suggestions regarding, for example, the types of submissions, the peer-review process, and setting goals for different Sections;
- Marketing promotion activities were discussed. Members showed their interest in the upcoming International Online Conference on Clinical Medicine (IOCCM) 2025. The registration for attendees is completely free of charge. We are calling for speakers and topic suggestions from attendees;
- The Editorial Board Members gave detailed suggestions on how to strengthen cooperation with societies to increase the exposure of the journal and promote wider scholarly communication.
