The fourth edition of the International Conference on Electronics, Engineering Physics and Earth Science (EEPES 2025) was held in hybrid mode in Alexandroupolis, Greece, from 18 to 20 June 2025.
EEPES 2025 is the premier international event focused on understanding the current state and evolution of science through the lens of engineering physics, electronics devices and microelectronics, telecommunications, optical and electromagnetic communication, artificial intelligence and soft computing, environmental physics and renewable energy and many other disciplines. It is a place for researchers, academics, industry professionals and students alike to present and discuss progress in research, development, standards and applications related to applied and engineering physics.
The technical program for this year’s edition of the conference included two distinguished keynotes by world-renowned experts and a plenary lecture, as follows:
- Prof. Dr. Assel Mukasheva, Kazakh-British Technical University, Kazakhstan, with the lecture “Resilience of UNet-based models under adversarial conditions in medical image segmentation”;
- Mr. Ivan Chatalbashev, SUNOTEC O&M, Bulgaria, with the lecture “Innovation and perspectives in energy decarbonization”;
- Ms. Dimitra Marina Giordamli, Prisma Electronics SA, Greece, with the lecture “Prisma Electronics: new technologies”.
We developed engaging plenary sessions with respected universities professors and academic speakers on visionary topics and from our sponsors, SUNOTEC, from Bulgaria, and PRISMA ELECTRONICS SA, from Greece, who prepared high-quality technical presentations.
In total, the technical program for the conference consisted of one plenary session, nine in-person sessions and eleven online sessions for research papers. The authors of accepted papers who are unable to attend the conference in person were given the option to present their papers online and attend an interactive virtual conference. Online presentations were held in a virtual room environment via Zoom Meeting platform for the opening ceremony, all conference sessions, and meetings.
Finally, we acknowledge Project "Scientific University of Ruse", funded by the European Union—NextGenerationEU through the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience of the Republic of Bulgaria, BG-RRP-2.013-0001, for supporting us and to SUNOTEC Group, Bulgaria, Prisma Electronics SA, Greece, and Kriton Energy, Greece for being official sponsors of EEPES 2025. We thank all the abovementioned partners for their collaboration and technical and financial support.
We also thank our Institutional partners, University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev” and Democritus University of Thrace, Kavala, Greece, TPC members, conference chairs and reviewers for their excellent work in developing a successful and rigorous program of events. Without them, this event would not have been possible.
