Dear Reviewer:
Thank you for your suggestion, Your suggestions are very detailed and helpful to my article a lot. I have carefully read your suggestions and questions and revised the article according to these suggestions. The following is my reply to your suggestions.
- The title has been modified according to the comments of the reviewer.
- The abstracthas been revised according to the requirements of the reviewer, the sentence has been rephrased with "short" and "strong".
- Replaced particles in manuscript with binder.
- KCl was explained according to the comments of reviewers.
- The keyword "Asphalt particles" have been removed.
- The previous research is related to the research done by other scholars mentioned above. What I want to emphasize here is the difference and innovation between this research and previous research.
- The inaccurate spelling has been corrected according to the comments of the reviewer.
- The smaller the particle size of asphalt is, the more difficult it is to modify it. Selecting the asphalt with the smallest particle size for modification can show that this method can be promoted in the field.
- The main action mechanism of potassium chloride as dispersant: different ions adsorbed on the asphalt surface show different degrees of hydration. When the hydration stress caused by potassium ions adsorbed on the asphalt reaches enough to destroy the electrostatic attraction, the ions begin to diffuse outward, thus dispersing the asphalt.
- According to the comments of reviewers, the references of relevant mechanisms have been added here.
- This conclusion is the final choice of potassium chloride concentration based on the experimental results of dispersion experiment.
- The conclusion was simplified according to the comments of reviewers, and the innovative data highlighting this study was rewritten.
The revised version is detailed in the annex.

Reviewer 3 Report
The research work deals with solving an oilfield problem raised by water cut. This is an industrial problem that was solved by modified asphalt particles and laboratory testing was carried out for optimization and efficiency.
The paper is good and it addresses an existing concerns in the oilfields. The value of the paper lies in field measurement, sampling and control. To me, the contents are enough and satisfactory. However, it is highly recommended to use an appropriate language and structure. For example, "blindness" in the "introduction" is not a good term in scientific papers. Also, the first term in abstract says "the oilfield"; well, which oilfield? "the" is definite article. And acronym such as "KC1" must be extend or explained in the first appearance in the text. Please, always bear in mind that the readers are not necessarily familiar with China, so specify China after the names of provinces, places, etc.
Please change the section "experimental part" to "experimental program". Section 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 etc have very long title. The titles must be short and also descriptive.
Please improve the language and it is good to publish the research work.
