Object: Short cover letter detailing changes for editors’ and referees’ approval.

Dear editors’ and referees’,

Regarding the suggestions made by the first reviewer, i have make amendments on different lines as needed.

Difficult wording (or expressions) to understand (Lines 54-57) or in clear (lines 73,169,251) have also been rephrased.

Some modifications on the legends of the figures (Figures 6 and 7) have been done and the figures are replaced. In table 1, brackets have been removed.

Thanks for your consideration of this manuscript tacking into account the reviewer observations.

Sincerely,

TINNI HALIDOU SEYDOU

Author Response

Dear Reviewer,

The paper has been reviewed with some amendments on the figures (4 and 5) as mentioned to be easily readable.

Sorry, for not including temperature aspect. This is because that most climate information communicated to the farmers communities in the study area are on rainfall which is the most crucial elements for crop production in the Sahelian region.  The temperature and the influence of heat waves for millet yields, as shown by Pasini et al. (2022), is interesting to investigate for our region. This fact can be taken into account and guide our future study in the Sahelian region.

Sincerely, Yours
