Climate change, pollution, deforestation, and biodiversity loss pose escalating threats to planetary health. Scientific and technological innovations alone have proven insufficient to address these systemic challenges. In this paper, we argue for a complementary approach that addresses inner transformations alongside systemic change. One such approach is planetary empathy, a worldview that regards interconnection, justice, and sustainability as inseparable priorities.
The study presented in this paper aimed to develop and conduct a preliminarily validation of a new measure, the Planetary Empathy Scale (PES). Data analysis revealed a six-factor structure with strong reliability and validity. The PES provides a robust instrument for advancing research and education in planetary health. View this paper
