Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear. author,

I think this paper is totally organized. However, I would like to give you one opinion about originality of this work.

It seems that you are conducting research with the same researcher in the following research article, you must be mentioned that originality of submitting paper and the relationship about your previous research.

Bailly, F., Charbonneau, E., Danès, L. et al. Optimal 3D arm strategies for maximizing twist rotation during somersault of a rigid-body model. Multibody Syst Dyn (2020). https://doi.org/10.1007/s11044-020-09759-5

Best,

The Abstract should provide more concrete details of the content of the article. The information is general and makes it difficult for the reader to understand the content of the article.

Introduction

L53-55: The main objective of computer simulations would not be to reduce the risk of injury. Reformulate sentence.

L59: What does the scientific literature say? Remove "To our Knowledge"

L63-73: This paragraph would make more sense if written after the paragraph that ends on line 52. Once the change is made, this paragraph should be cohesive to avoid abrupt changes in the lines of argument

L74-81: Finish the introduction with the objectives of the study, not with the hypotheses.

Methods

L107-108: “The expertise of EC (first author and national trampoline107

coach) guided us through this process)”...irrelevant information. If experts are used, more than one should be used and the concordance of the decisions taken should be evaluated.

L137-138: Only one expert? Describe the expert's review criteria

Discussion

L230: Add more references to support the discussion in this section

L240: “Our 3D torque-driven model”...rewrite sentence: The 3D torque-driven model…

L260: “We observed…” remove

L252: Add more references to support the discussion in this section

L278: Add more references to support the discussion in this section

Limitations

L307: “In our quest for innovative solutions”...remove sentence
