  1. The Details of the Tensile shear test need to be added for the reader to understand easily.
  2. There is something wrong with the topic of Figure 4 (b) and it needs to be corrected. Moreover, the results in Figure 4 (b) are not expressed in detail.
  3. Figure 11, the three layers are the same material, the meaning of which needs to be explained.
  4. Cooling system has great influence on casting process. Therefore, the speed and cooling strength of the roller need to be summarized.
  5. In general, the mechanical properties of composite plates are affected by the whole process. It is suggested that the influence of this process on the mechanical properties of composites should be increased.
  6. Surface quality is an important pathway to industrialization. It is suggested to increase the influence of process on surface quality.
  7. In the summary of each part, some microscopic test results are missing as supporting evidence

A twin roll caster that can directly cast a clad strip from molten metals has not been developed before. Our team succeeded in developing two types of twin roll caster that can cast a clad strip from molten metals at higher speed than that of a conventional twin roll caster in an oxidizing atmosphere. Research on the twin roll caster for a clad strip has been continuing for 20 years. In this review paper, the properties of two kinds of twin roll casters and strips cast using these casters are shown, with particular emphasis on the originality of the process.

It is clear, that the great amount of work has been done to optimize the TRC processing. However, in my opinion, the paper structure is not adequate for efforts made. I would recommend restructuring the paper and find more understandable way of the explanation of the interesting effect of the rolling speed, solidification length, rolls size on the shearing, bonding of the clad strips. I also found tables captions which are not in accordance to the text (e.g. Fig1), some misspellings and typos. I would recommend listing the compositions of all used alloys in one table at the beginning of the paper and to work on the keywords.
