In this paper, several cases are studied by using ground-based cloud seeding technology. Research on weather modification has always been concerned. Ground-based cloud seeding technology is of certain value to our understanding of ground-based weather modification. The research in this paper has certain practical value, but there are some issues in this paper that need to be addressed.
1. The abstract needs to be reorganized. According to the current version of the abstract, the readers cannot understand what is done in your paper. It should describe the experimental process, the experimental analysis and the experimental results.
2. Line 32-35, it is necessary to discuss that the precipitation capacity of clouds is affected by a variety of meteorological factors, such as some previous studies (and so on):
Liu, Y., Luo, R., Zhu, Q., Hua, S. and Wang, B. 2020. Cloud ability to produce precipitation over arid and semiarid regions of central and East Asia. International Journal of Climatology, 40(3), 1824–1837.
Zhao P., Xiao H., Liu J., Zhou, Y. 2022. Precipitation efficiency of cloud and its influencing factors over the Tibetan plateau. International Journal of Climatology, 42, 416–434
3. The synoptic background of the cases in this paper, such as circulation characteristics and cloud system characteristics, should be supplemented.
4. Figures 5 and 6 show the temporal and spatial distribution of precipitation, but how do you explain that the increase in precipitation is caused by artificial cloud seeding? How do you separate the artificial factor from the natural factor?
5. Whether more observation equipment is being used in weather modification operations. Such as radar, airborne observation equipment or satellite observations, which can visually show the change of cloud.
6. Similarly, figures 7 and 8 show the rise in water level, but it is possible that the rise is due to natural precipitation and not necessarily to weather modification operations.
7. Line 11, what is the full name of ‘PT’?
