1. In abstract, what issues can be addressed by proposing your method? besides, main results or data should be provided to support your conclusions.

2. The significance of this study from the conclusions should be explained in Abstract,

3. In Introduction, some ralated works on rotor or blade optimization / design are missing, such as Aerospace, 2022, 9(8): 465; Applied Mathematical Modelling, 2022, 109:1-20 and International Journal of Fatigue, 2022, 154:106558.

4. in this study, the 2D airfoil profile model of this blade only was considered. the airfoil profile always changes with the change of blade height. only considering specific airfoil profile is improper. please explain.

5. in all, it is better that this study is considered as a report, because now things in academics or theory lack.

6. English expression should be improved.

  1. in this study, the 2D airfoil profile model of this blade only was considered. the airfoil profile always changes with the change of blade height. only considering specific airfoil profile is improper. please explain.

Answer: The SG6040 airfoil is used here just for the purpose of assessing the behavior of the proposed optimization, since it is not the objective of the work to evaluate airfoils efficiencies, as well as the effect of 2D airfoil profiles. A text on this regards was included right before Tab. 1.

  1. in all, it is better that this study is considered as a report, because now things in academics or theory lack.

Answer: The authors have made improvements on the manuscript. A new optimization method is proposed and, it is relevant to the current state-of-the-art. We believe that the paper attends the high quality of the journal.

  1. English expression should be improved.

Answer: The authors really appreciate the comment of the reviewer. So, the paper has been thoroughly reviewed. We have improved the expressions.

Reviewer 3 Report

The manuscript “Optimization of Hydrokinetic Swept Blades” is a fresh approach towards optimization of a complex phenomenon. It does fit to the scope of the journal. The following are my comments:

·       The abstract need improvement. Kindly include objective of the study in clear cut language.

·       The abstract should also include the quantitative as well qualitative results.

·       For the sake of improved visibility include two more keywords.

·       Introduction should also have a discussion on contemporary optimization techniques like RSM, ANN etc., and then present the advantages of used techniques in the present study. Following latest studies may be included and discussed: 10.3390/su12052027, 10.1016/j.seta.2022.102455, 10.3390/su14042418, 10.1080/15567036.2022.2067268

·       The experimental detail section should be in past tense.

·       The equations used in section 2.1 should be cited.

·       Last para of introduction needs improvement. It should clearly mention the novelty

·       Future scope may added to the conclusion.

·       Conclusion needs improvement. It should contain quantitative results

The study may be recommended for publication after above mentioned modifications
