This is a well presented and useful contribution in the field of the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the worst situations we are facing as a society. The authors present a solid overview of the relevant literature, considering the pandemic outbreak was in March in many countries. They explain their motivation with clarity, and the results are very interesting.
It is true that the used data source, based on the Google mobility report, may not represent the true travel behaviours of the general population, however, supposes a pragmatic solution, as any other approach could be unaffordable in time and manner.
I enjoyed reading this paper and look forward to seeing it published.
It would be good to see a recap of the paper at the end of the introduction, as well as a more concrete rationale of the paper, but these are merely suggestions.
