Cover Story: This mixed-methods case study combined quantitative clinical and self-reported data with an in-depth patient interview, providing a richer understanding of how treatment influences not only oral health but also quality of life, self-perception, and overall experience. The patient received comprehensive cost-free dental care at the One Smile Research Program after being unable to access dental services for many years due to financial barriers. Sustained improvements in oral health and well-being, maintained for up to two years after receiving care, offer preliminary insights into the potential advantages of universal dental coverage within the Canadian healthcare system. View this paper
