Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This review by Warburton et al. is a timely and comprehensive work summarizing literature of the cellular machinery utilized by HPV for viral genome replication. The review is well written and would be a great resource in the HPV field. I love the title!

I have a minor comment:

On page 2 (lines 69-70), the sentence needs to restructured. Please go through the manuscript and check for sentence constructions.

Author Response

Thank you! I have reconstructed the sentence indicated and checked through the remaining document for grammatical errors

Reviewer 2 Report

This review of HPV replication and its association with the host cell nucleus and host DNA is a novel and important contribution to current reviews on HPV. It takes a unique angle on the HPV life cycle while also underlining some key issues and exploring recent key findings. The review is well written and very clear in explanation of complex concepts. The figures are useful and the reference list is suitably complete.
