Special Issue: Selected Papers from the Second Eurasian Meeting on Heterocyclic Chemistry: Heterocycles in Organic and Combinatorial Chemistry

The Second Eurasian Meeting on Heterocyclic Chemistry: Heterocycles in Organic and Combinatorial Chemistry, organized by the Chemistry Department of Moscow State University and sponsored by Bayer AG, was held at Novgorod the Great, Russia, from September 14-17, 2002. In keeping with the meeting’s goal of bringing together those European and Asian heterocyclic chemists from our continent who had no real contacts with each other up to now, the conference was attended by over 60 scientists from various European and Asian countries, who presented some 50 papers and posters (for the conference proceedings see: http://org.chem.msu.su/~babaev/eurasia/book1.pdf).

We are now pleased to present in this special issue of Molecules a selection of peer reviewed and edited papers from this conference, expanded by their authors to include the corresponding experimental data and thus meet the journal’s usual criteria for publication.
