Geosciences, Resources, and Sustainable Pathways for Climate Resilience and the Energy Transition
Topic Information
Dear Colleagues,
The transition toward sustainable and climate-resilient societies requires innovative approaches that integrate resource management, clean energy solutions, environmental stewardship, and sustainable development. As nations seek to address climate change, strengthen energy security, and achieve global sustainability goals, interdisciplinary research is essential to support informed decision-making and long-term resilience.
This Topic provides a platform for contributions exploring sustainable pathways for the energy transition and climate resilience. We welcome studies addressing renewable energy systems, green hydrogen, critical and strategic resources, environmental sustainability, climate change adaptation, natural hazards, circular economy approaches, resource governance, environmental monitoring, and emerging technologies that contribute to low-carbon and resilient futures. Research integrating scientific, technological, environmental, economic, and policy perspectives is particularly encouraged.
By bringing together diverse disciplines and stakeholders, this Topic aims to advance knowledge, foster innovation, and support practical solutions that promote sustainable development, responsible resource use, and resilient communities in a rapidly changing world.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.

Preprints.org is a multidisciplinary platform offering a preprint service designed to facilitate the early sharing of your research. It supports and empowers your research journey from the very beginning.
MDPI Topics is collaborating with Preprints.org and has established a direct connection between MDPI journals and the platform. Authors are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity by posting their preprints at Preprints.org prior to publication:
- Share your research immediately: disseminate your ideas prior to publication and establish priority for your work.
- Safeguard your intellectual contribution: Protect your ideas with a time-stamped preprint that serves as proof of your research timeline.
- Boost visibility and impact: Increase the reach and influence of your research by making it accessible to a global audience.
- Gain early feedback: Receive valuable input and insights from peers before submitting to a journal.
- Ensure broad indexing: Web of Science (Preprint Citation Index), Google Scholar, Crossref, SHARE, PrePubMed, Scilit and Europe PMC.
