For that purpose, I wrote an overview upon the biological function of natural anti-ER alpha antibodies, in the context of breast cancer emergence and evolution. “I had started writing my review unsure of its destination journal. When I was approached by the guest editors of the IJMS special issue on plant cell wall proteins it was an apparent choice. Submission was extremely fast and simple compared to many other journals (30 minutes at max.). Given the length of my MS, the initial review was relatively fast (ca. 4 weeks). The following revisions and edits were mostly straightforward because the MS had already been correctly formatted. A minor problem during the proof phase was a confusion of the order of references. However, after my call for help to the editor, this was fixed in a breeze. Taken together, publishing in IJMS was a thoroughly pleasant experience.”
