The design of robots is highly dependent on their applications. For agricultural robots, terrain, weather, and crop diversity need to be considered, and work efficiency, cost, and reliability must be evaluated. These factors are important to determine the design of agricultural robots. In this study, we identified the constraint factors of agricultural robots from the perspectives of navigation, movement, control, cost, and reliability. The orthogonal defect classification (ODC) method was used to classify and grade these factors and explore the relationships among these factors. Based on the results, the design rules of agricultural robots were created, and an automatic production knowledge base of agricultural robot design was constructed. The results contribute to the automatic generation of the design framework of agricultural robots under specific environments to effectively improve the design level and quality of agricultural robots and popularize agricultural robots. The continuous advancement of fire protection technologies has necessitated the development of comprehensive safety standards, leading to an increasingly diversified and specialized regulatory landscape. This has made it difficult for fire protection professionals to quickly and accurately locate the required fire safety standard information. In addition, the lack of effective integration and knowledge organization concerning fire safety standard entities has led to the severe fragmentation of fire safety standard information and the absence of a comprehensive “one map”. To address this challenge, we introduce FT-FLAT, an innovative CNN–Transformer fusion architecture designed specifically for fire safety standard entity extraction. Unlike traditional methods that rely on rules or single-modality deep learning, our approach integrates TextCNN for local feature extraction and combines it with the Flat-Lattice Transformer for global dependency modeling. The key innovations include the following. (1) Relative Position Embedding (RPE) dynamically encodes the positional relationships between spans in fire safety texts, addressing the limitations of absolute positional encoding in hierarchical structures. (2) The Multi-Branch Prediction Head (MBPH) aggregates the outputs of TextCNN and the Transformer using Einstein summation, enhancing the feature learning capabilities and improving the robustness for domain-specific terminology. (3) Experiments conducted on the newly annotated Fire Safety Standard Entity Recognition Dataset (FSSERD) demonstrate state-of-the-art performance (94.24% accuracy, 83.20% precision). This work provides a scalable solution for constructing fire safety knowledge graphs and supports intelligent information retrieval in emergency situations. Full article

The quadratic regularization technique is widely used in the literature for constructing efficient algorithms, particularly for solving nonsmooth optimization problems. We propose an inexact nonsmooth quadratic regularization algorithm for solving large-scale optimization, which involves a large-scale smooth separable item and a nonsmooth one. The main difference between our algorithm and the (exact) quadratic regularization algorithm is that it employs inexact gradients instead of the full gradients of the smooth item. Also, a slightly different update rule for the regularization parameters is adopted for easier implementation. Under certain assumptions, it is proved that the algorithm achieves a first-order approximate critical point of the problem, and the iteration complexity of the algorithm is O(ε2). In the end, we apply the algorithm to solve LASSO problems. The numerical results show that the inexact algorithm is more efficient than the corresponding exact one in large-scale cases. Full article

The countries and regions along the Belt and Road are rich in wetland carbon sink resources, crucial for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and achieving global emission reduction. This paper uses policy analysis and desk research to analyze the overview of wetland carbon sinks in these countries. It explores the necessity of legal system construction for their carbon sink trading. This study finds that smooth trading requires clear property rights definition rules, efficient market trading entities, definite carbon sink trading price rules, financial support aligned with the Equator Principles, and support from biodiversity-compatible environmental regulatory principles. Currently, there are still obstacles in wetland carbon sink trading in the Belt and Road, such as property rights confirmation, an accounting system, an imperfect market trading mechanism, and the coexistence of multiple trading risks. Therefore, this paper first proposes to clarify the goal of the legal guarantee mechanism. Efforts should focus on promoting a consensus on wetland carbon sink ownership and establishing a unified accounting standard system; simultaneously, the relevant departments should conduct field investigations and monitoring, standardize the market order, and strengthen government financial support and funding guarantees. Cyber threat intelligence summarization plays a critical role in enhancing threat awareness and operational response in cybersecurity. However, existing summarization models often fail to capture essential threat elements due to the unstructured nature of cyber threat intelligence documents and the lack of domain-specific knowledge. This paper presents a knowledge-guided cyber threat intelligence summarization framework via term-oriented input construction, designed to improve summary fidelity, semantic relevance, and model robustness. The proposed approach consists of two key components: a hybrid term construction pipeline that combines unsupervised keyword extraction and supervised term generation with rule-based refinement, and a knowledge-injected input construction paradigm that explicitly incorporates structured terms into the model input. This strategy enhances the model’s understanding of critical threat semantics without altering its architecture. Extensive experiments conducted on cyber threat intelligence summarization benchmarks under both zero-shot and supervised settings demonstrate that the proposed method consistently improves summarization performance across different models, offering strong generalization and deployment flexibility. Inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) operations on underwater infrastructure remain costly and time-intensive because fully teleoperated remote operated vehicle s(ROVs) lack the range and dexterity necessary for precise cooperative underwater manipulation, and the alternative of using professional divers is ruled out due to the risk involved. This work presents and experimentally validates an autonomous, dual-I-AUV (Intervention–Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) system capable of assembling rigid pipeline segments through coordinated actions in a confined underwater workspace. The first I-AUV is a Girona 500 (4-DoF vehicle motion, pitch and roll stable) fitted with multiple payload cameras and a 6-DoF Reach Bravo 7 arm, giving the vehicle 10 total DoF. The second I-AUV is a BlueROV2 Heavy equipped with a Reach Alpha 5 arm, likewise yielding 10 DoF. The workflow comprises (i) detection and grasping of a coupler pipe section, (ii) synchronized teleoperation to an assembly start pose, and (iii) assembly using a kinematic controller that exploits the Girona 500’s full 10 DoF, while the BlueROV2 holds position and orientation to stabilize the workspace. Validation took place in a 12 m × 8 m × 5 m water tank. Results show that the paired I-AUVs can autonomously perform precision pipeline assembly in real water conditions, representing a significant step toward fully automated subsea construction and maintenance. Improving occupational health and safety (OHS) in the construction industry can contribute to the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Yet, workers’ risk-taking behaviors (RTBs) remain a persistent challenge. Drawing on Social Cognitive Theory and Social Information Processing Theory, this study develops and tests a social influence model to examine how foremen’s safety attitudes (SAs) shape workers’ RTBs. Drawing on survey data from 301 construction workers in China, structural equation modeling reveals that foremen’s SAs significantly and negatively predict workers’ RTBs. However, the three dimensions of SAs—cognitive, affective, and behavioral—exert their influence through different pathways. Risk perception (RP) plays a key mediating role, particularly for the cognitive and behavioral dimensions. Furthermore, interpersonal trust (IPT) functions as a significant moderator in some of these relationships. By identifying the micro-social pathways that link foremen’s attitudes to workers’ safety behaviors, this study offers a testable theoretical framework for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (particularly Goals 3 and 8) at the frontline workplace level. The findings provide empirical support for organizations to move beyond rule-based management and instead build more resilient OHS governance systems by systematically cultivating the multidimensional attitudes of frontline leaders. The ongoing degradation of global forests has severely weakened ecosystem service functions, and traditional judicial remedies have struggled to quantify intangible ecological losses. China has become an important testing ground for restorative justice through the establishment of specialized environmental courts and the practice of environmental public interest litigation. Since 2015, China has actively explored and institutionalized the application of the concept of restorative justice in its environmental justice reform. This concept emphasizes compensating environmental damages through actual ecological restoration acts rather than relying solely on financial compensation. This shift reflects a deep understanding of the limitations of traditional environmental justice and an institutional response to China’s ecological civilization construction, providing critical support for forest ecosystem restoration and enabling ecological restoration activities, such as replanting and re-greening, habitat reconstruction, etc., to be enforced through judicial decisions. This study conducts a qualitative analysis of judicial rulings in forest restoration cases to systematically evaluate the effectiveness of restorative justice in compensating for losses in forest ecosystem service functions. The findings reveal the following: (1) restoration measures in judicial practice are disconnected from the types of ecosystem services available; (2) non-market values and long-term cumulative damages are systematically underestimated, with monitoring mechanisms exhibiting fragmented implementation and insufficient effectiveness; (3) management cycles are set in violation of ecological restoration principles, and acceptance standards lack function-oriented indicators; (4) participation of key stakeholders is severely lacking, and local knowledge and professional expertise have not been integrated. In response, this study proposes a restorative judicial framework oriented toward forest ecosystem services, utilizing four mechanisms: independent recognition of legal interests, function-matched restoration, application of scientific assessment tools, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. This framework aims to drive a paradigm shift from formal restoration to substantive functional recovery, providing theoretical support and practical pathways for environmental judicial reform and global forest governance. This study explores the challenges and theoretical transformations that the widespread application of AI technology in social governance brings to the protection of citizens’ fundamental rights. By examining typical cases in judicial assistance, technology-enabled law enforcement, and welfare supervision, it explains how AI characteristics such as algorithmic opacity, data bias, and automated decision-making affect fundamental rights including due process, equal protection, and privacy. The article traces the historical evolution of privacy theory from physical space protection to informational self-determination and further to modern data rights, pointing out the inadequacy of traditional rights-protection paradigms in addressing the characteristics of AI technology. Through analyzing AI-governance models in the European Union, the United States, Northeast Asia, and international organizations, it demonstrates diverse governance approaches ranging from systematic risk regulation to decentralized industry regulation. With a special focus on China, the article analyzes the special challenges faced in AI governance and proposes specific recommendations for improving AI-governance paths. The article argues that only within the track of the rule of law, through continuous theoretical innovation, institutional construction, and international cooperation, can AI technology development be ensured to serve human dignity, freedom, and fair justice. The electroencephalogram (EEG), widely used for measuring the brain’s electrophysiological activity, has been extensively applied in the automatic detection of epileptic seizures. However, several challenges remain unaddressed in prior studies on automated seizure detection: (1) Methods based on CNN and LSTM assume that EEG signals follow a Euclidean structure; (2) Algorithms leveraging graph convolutional networks rely on adjacency matrices constructed with fixed edge weights or predefined connection rules. To address these limitations, we propose a novel algorithm: Dynamic Graph Convolutional Network with Dilated Convolution (DGDCN). By leveraging a spatiotemporal attention mechanism, the proposed model dynamically constructs a task-specific adjacency matrix, which guides the graph convolutional network (GCN) in capturing localized spatial and temporal dependencies among adjacent nodes. Furthermore, a dilated convolutional module is incorporated to expand the receptive field, thereby enabling the model to capture long-range temporal dependencies more effectively. The proposed seizure detection system is evaluated on the TUSZ dataset, achieving AUC values of 88.7% and 90.4% on 12-s and 60-s segments, respectively, demonstrating competitive performance compared to current state-of-the-art methods. Although artificial intelligence methods such as reinforcement learning (RL) show potential in optimizing the design of compressors, there are still two major challenges remaining: limited design variables and insufficient model explainability. For the initial design of compressors, this paper proposes a technical approach that incorporates deep reinforcement learning and decision tree distillation to enhance both the optimization capability and explainability. First, a pre-selection platform for the initial design scheme of the compressors is constructed based on the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG) algorithm. The optimization space is significantly enlarged by expanding the co-design of 25 key variables (e.g., the inlet airflow angle, the reaction, the load coefficient, etc.). Then, the initial design of six-stage axial compressors is successfully completed, with the axial efficiency increasing to 84.65% at the design speed and the surge margin extending to 10.75%. The design scheme is closer to the actual needs of engineering. Secondly, Shapley Additive Explanations (SHAP) analysis is utilized to reveal the influence of the mechanism of the key design parameters on the performance of the compressors in order to enhance the model explainability. Finally, the decision tree inspired by the black-winged kite (BKA) algorithm takes the interpretable design rules and transforms the data-driven intelligent optimization into explicit engineering experience. Through experimental validation, this method significantly improves the transparency of the design process while maintaining the high performance of the DDPG algorithm. The extracted design rules not only have clear physical meanings but also can effectively guide the initial design of the compressors, providing a new idea with both optimization capability and explainability for its intelligent design. Semantic modeling of legal reasoning is an important research direction in the field of artificial intelligence and law (AI and law), aiming to enhance judicial transparency, fairness, and the consistency of legal applications through structured semantic representations. This paper proposes a semantic judicial reasoning framework based on the “Data–Information–Knowledge–Wisdom–Purpose” (DIKWP) model, which transforms the conceptual expressions of traditional legal judgment into DIKWP graphs enriched with semantics. The framework integrates the objective content of legal norms with stakeholders’ subjective cognition through a DIKWP×DIKWP bidirectional mapping mechanism, achieving “semantic justice”. Specifically, we define a DIKWP-based legal knowledge representation method and design a mapping algorithm from traditional legal concepts to the DIKWP semantic structure. To validate the effectiveness of the framework, we use a real administrative law case as an example and construct DIKWP (normative content) and DIKWP (subjective cognition) graphs to model legal rules, evidence, and various perspectives. The results indicate that the intention-driven semantic transformation mechanism can harmonize legal reasoning with stakeholders’ cognitive backgrounds, thereby enhancing the interpretability and fairness of judicial interpretation. Case analysis further demonstrates that reasoning within the DIKWP semantic space can reveal underlying assumptions, bridge cognitive gaps, and promote judicial fairness by aligning legal intentions. This study provides new theoretical and methodological support for the explainable reasoning of intelligent judicial systems. Full article

In the architectural design phase, the inspection of design deliverables is critical, yet traditional manual checking methods are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and inefficient, with numerous drawbacks. With the development of BIM technology, automated rule compliance checking has become a trend. This paper presents a method combining semantic web technology and IFC data to enhance human–machine collaborative inspection capabilities. First, a five-step process integrated with domain specifications is designed to construct a building object ontology, covering most architectural objects in the AEC domain. Second, a set of mapping rules is developed based on the expression mechanisms of IFC entities to establish a semantic bridge between IfcOWL and the building object ontology. Then, by analyzing regulatory codes, query rule templates for major constraint types are developed using semantic web SPARQL. Finally, the feasibility of the method is validated through a case study based on the Jena framework. Full article

Decision making is challenging in autonomous driving (AD) under highway scenarios because of the unpredictable behaviors of neighbor vehicles, leading to the necessity of accurately modelling interactions between vehicles. Though ego-attention, a variant of self-attention, provides a way for object interaction extraction, its feature expression still needs to improve. This paper improves the original ego-attention by reweighting the encoding vehicle features, forcing them to pay more attention to significant features. Moreover, we designed a rule-based driver assistance module (DAM) to alleviate mis-decisions by constraining action space. Finally, we constructed our final AD decision-making model by integrating the proposed reweighting ego-attention and the DAM into the dual-input decision-making framework trained by enhanced deep reinforcement learning (DRL). We evaluated our decision-making model on highway scenarios. The results show that our model achieves better performance in success step (39.95 steps/episode), speed (29.15 m/s), lane-changing times (5.64 times/episode), and task completion rate (98%) than existing models, including DRL-GAT-SA, AE-D3QN-DA, and ego-attention-based ones, implying the competitive driving accuracy, safety, and comfort of our model. Text-to-SQL for spatial databases enables the translation of natural language questions into corresponding SQL queries, allowing non-experts to easily access spatial data, which has gained increasing attention from researchers. Previous research has primarily focused on rule-based methods. However, these methods have limitations when dealing with complicated or unknown natural language questions. While advanced machine learning models can be trained, they typically require large labeled training datasets, which are severely lacking for spatial databases. Recently, Generative Pre-Trained Transformer (GPT) models have emerged as a promising paradigm for Text-to-SQL tasks in relational databases, driven by carefully designed prompts. In response to the severe lack of datasets for spatial databases, we have created a publicly available dataset that supports both English and Chinese. Furthermore, we propose a GPT-based method to construct prompts for spatial databases, which incorporates geographic and spatial database knowledge into the prompts and requires only a small number of training samples, such as 1, 3, or 5 examples. Extensive experiments demonstrate that incorporating geographic and spatial database knowledge into prompts improves the accuracy of Text-to-SQL tasks for spatial databases.
