The rapid emergence of generative AI technologies has sparked significant transformation across educational landscapes worldwide. This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of GAI in education, mapping scholarly trends from 2022 to 2025. Drawing on 3808 peer-reviewed journal articles indexed in Scopus, the analysis reveals exponential growth in publications, with dominant contributions from the United States, China, and Hong Kong. Using VOSviewer, the study identifies six major thematic clusters, including GAI in higher education, ethics, technological foundations, writing support, and assessment. Prominent tools, especially ChatGPT, are shown to influence pedagogical design, academic integrity, and learner engagement. The study highlights interdisciplinary integration, regional research ecosystems, and evolving keyword patterns reflecting the field’s transition from tool-based inquiry to learner-centered concerns. This review offers strategic insights for educators, researchers, and policymakers navigating AI’s transformative role in education. Full article

Ongoing interest in the intersection of spirituality and health has prompted a need for integrated research. This report proposes a distinct approach in a model that allows for successful and harmonious cross-fertilization within these latter two areas of interest. Our work is especially pertinent to inquiries around the role of spirituality in mental health, with special attention to chronic pain conditions. The latter have become an open channel for novel avenues to explore the field of spirituality-based interventions within the arena of psychological inquiry. To address this, the authors developed and implemented the Church and Academia Model, a prototype for an innovative collaborative research project, with the aim of exploring the role of devotional practices, and their potential to be used as therapeutic co-adjuvants or tools to enhance the coping skills of patients with chronic pain. Keeping in mind that the church presents a rich landscape for clinical inquiry with broad relevance for clinicians and society at large, we created a unique hybrid research model. This is a new paradigm that focuses on distinct and well-defined studies where the funding, protocol writing, study design, and implementation are shared by experts from both the pastoral and clinical spaces. A team of theologians, researchers, and healthcare providers, including clinical pain psychologists, built a coalition leveraging their respective skill sets. Each expert is housed in their own environs, creating a functional network that has proven academically productive and pastorally effective. Key outputs include the creation and validation of a new psychometric measure, the Pain-related PRAYER Scale (PPRAYERS), an associated bedside prayer tool and a full-scale dissemination strategy through journal publications and specialty society conferences. This collaborative prototype is also an ideal fit for integrated knowledge translation platforms, and it is a promising paradigm for future collaborative projects focused on spirituality and mental health. This paper proposes a comprehensive framework for integrating language policies into the realm of public administration, focusing on their potential to regulate linguistic inheritance and promote language tourism. Drawing upon theoretical insights and practical examples, this ongoing bibliographical inquiry elucidates the multifaceted benefits of such incorporation. Language policies shape societal dynamics, preserve culture and strengthen economies. By incorporating linguistic considerations into public administration practices, governments can cultivate linguistic inclusivity, facilitate intercultural communication, and support language-based tourism initiatives. Furthermore, it aims to provide a roadmap for the fruitful implementation of language initiatives to maximize their social and financial impact. Procedural physician-scientists have made significant contributions to medicine and science, with twelve proceduralists receiving a Nobel Prize. Unfortunately, several systemic challenges have jeopardized the existence, let alone the flourishing, of procedural physician-scientists: the widening gap in the National Institutes of Health salary cap, decreasing funding from nonfederal public and private agencies, and shifting priorities among U.S. hospitals, payers, and policymakers toward relative value unit productivity-based compensation and fee-for-service models. Additional pressures include prolonged training pathways and the need to maintain clinical continuity. Adopting a team science approach may offer a powerful strategy to mitigate these competing demands, support rigorous scientific inquiry, and address the growing complexity of biomedical research. Concerted efforts by the federal government, policymakers, corporations, institutions, and procedural departments will also be crucial to restoring the vitality of this diminishing workforce. This paper presents a meta-analysis of social research on water, offering a novel methodological contribution to the study of emerging interdisciplinary research fields. We propose and implement a mixed methods framework that integrates quantitative network analysis with qualitative research, aiming to enhance both to give access to new emerging empirical fields and enhance the analytical depth of empirical social research. Drawing on a dataset of publications from the Web of Science over four distinct time intervals, we identify thematic clusters through keyword co-occurrence networks that reveal the evolving structure and internal dynamics of the field. Our findings show a clear trend toward increasing interdisciplinarity, responsiveness to global events, and contemporary challenges such as the emergence of COVID-19 and the continued centrality of topics related to water management and evaluation. By uncovering latent structures, our approach not only maps the field’s development but also lays the foundation for targeted qualitative analysis of articles representative of identified clusters. This methodological design contributes to the broader discourse on mixed methods research in the social sciences by demonstrating how computational tools can enhance the transparency and reliability of qualitative inquiry without sacrificing its interpretive richness. Furthermore, this study opens new avenues for critically reflecting on the epistemic culture of social water research, particularly in relation to its proximity to applied science and governance-oriented perspectives. The proposed method holds potential relevance for both academic researchers and decision makers in the water sector, offering a means to systematically access dispersed knowledge and identify underrepresented subfields. Overall, the study showcases the potential of mixed methods designs for navigating and structuring complex interdisciplinary research landscapes. Full article

This study delivers a rigorous and in-depth bibliometric examination of 693 scholarly publications addressing the intersection of metaverse technologies and banking, retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection. Through advanced scientometric tools, including VOSviewer and Bibliometrix, the research systematically unpacks the evolving intellectual and thematic contours of this interdisciplinary frontier. The co-occurrence analysis of keywords reveals a landscape shaped by seven core thematic clusters, encompassing immersive user environments, digital infrastructure, experiential design, and ethical considerations. Factorial analysis uncovers a marked bifurcation between experience-driven narratives and technology-centric frameworks, with integrative concepts such as technology, information, and consumption serving as conceptual bridges. Network visualizations of authorship patterns point to the emergence of high-density collaboration clusters, particularly centered around influential contributors such as Dwivedi and Ooi, while regional distribution patterns indicate a tri-continental dominance led by Asia, North America, and Western Europe. Temporal analysis identifies a significant surge in academic interest beginning in 2022, aligning with increased institutional and commercial experimentation in virtual financial platforms. Our findings argue that the incorporation of metaverse paradigms into banking is not merely a technological shift but a systemic transformation in progress—one that blurs the boundaries between speculative innovation and tangible implementation. This work contributes foundational insights for future inquiry into digital finance systems, algorithmic governance, trust architecture, and the wider socio-economic consequences of banking in virtualized environments. Whether a genuine leap toward financial evolution or a sophisticated illusion, the metaverse in banking must now be treated as a systemic phenomenon worthy of serious scrutiny. Full article

Modern financial practices introduce complex risks, which in turn force financial institutions to rely increasingly on computational risk analytics (CRA). The purpose of our research is to attempt to systematically explore the evolution and intellectual structure of CRA in banking using a detailed bibliometric analysis of the literature sourced from Web of Science from 2000 to 2025. A comprehensive search in the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection yielded 1083 peer-reviewed publications, which we analyzed using analytical tools like VOSviewer 1.6.20 and Bibliometrix (Biblioshiny 5.0) so as to examine the dataset and uncover bibliometric characteristics like citation patterns, keyword occurrences, and thematic clustering. Our initial analysis results uncover the presence of key research clusters focusing on bankruptcy prediction, AI integration in financial services, and advanced deep learning applications. Furthermore, our findings note a transition of CRA from an emerging to an expanding domain, especially after 2019, with terms like machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and deep learning (DL) being identified as prominent keywords and a recent shift towards blockchain, explainability, and financial stability being present. We believe that this study tries to address the need for an updated mapping of CRA, providing valuable insights for future academic inquiry and practical financial risk management applications. This study conducts a comparative evaluation of Turkiye’s carbon emission profile from both sectoral and global perspectives. Utilizing 2022 data from 76 countries, it applies two widely recognized multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods: MEREC, for determining objective weights of criteria, and PROMETHEE II, for ranking countries based on these criteria. All data used in the analysis were obtained from the World Bank, a globally recognized and credible statistical source. The study evaluates seven criteria, including carbon emissions from the energy, transport, industry, and residential sectors, along with GDP-related indicators. The results indicate that Turkiye’s carbon emissions, particularly from industry, transport, and energy, are substantially higher than the global average. Moreover, countries with higher levels of industrialization generally rank lower in environmental performance, highlighting a direct relationship between industrial activity and increased carbon emissions. According to PROMETHEE II rankings, Turkiye falls into the lower-middle tier among the assessed countries. In light of these findings, the study suggests that Turkiye should implement targeted, sector-specific policy measures to reduce emissions. The research aims to provide policymakers with a structured, data-driven framework that aligns with the country’s broader sustainable development goals. MEREC was selected for its ability to produce unbiased criterion weights, while PROMETHEE II was chosen for its capacity to deliver clear and meaningful comparative rankings, making both methods highly suitable for evaluating environmental performance. This study also offers a broader analysis of how selected countries compare in terms of their carbon emissions. As carbon emissions remain one of the most pressing environmental challenges in the context of global warming and climate change, ranking countries based on emission levels serves both to support scientific inquiry and to increase international awareness. By relying on recent 2022 data, the study offers a timely snapshot of the global carbon emission landscape. Alongside its contribution to public awareness, the findings are expected to support policymakers in developing effective environmental strategies. Ultimately, this research contributes to the academic literature and lays a foundation for more sustainable environmental policy development. Full article

Understanding soil infiltration at the watershed level is crucial to hydrological studies, as it significantly influences surface runoff, groundwater replenishment, and ecosystem sustainability. Research in this area—particularly employing the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT)—has seen sustained scholarly interest, with an upward trend in related publications. This study analyzed 141 peer-reviewed articles from the Web of Science (WOS) Core Collection. By applying bibliometric techniques through CiteSpace visualization software, it explored the key themes and emerging directions in the use of the SWAT model for soil infiltration studies across watersheds. Findings revealed that this field integrates multiple disciplines. Notably, the Journal of Hydrology and Hydrological Processes emerged as two of the most impactful publication venues. Researchers and institutions from the United States, China, and Ethiopia were the core contributors to this area. “Land use” and “climate change” are currently the hotspots of interest in this field. There are three development trends: (1) The scale of research is continuously expanding. (2) The research subjects are diversified, ranging from initially focusing on agricultural watersheds to surrounding areas such as hillsides, grasslands, and forests. (3) The research content becomes more systematic, emphasizing regional coordination and ecological sustainability. Overall, the research on soil infiltration at the watershed scale using the SWAT model presents a promising and thriving field. This study provides researchers with a framework that objectively presents the research hotspots and trends in this area, serving as a valuable resource for advancing academic inquiry in this domain. This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis and predictive modeling of financial risk research from 2015 to 2024, integrating conceptual, knowledge, and collaboration perspectives. Utilizing the PRISMA framework for literature screening, the study identifies publications, research areas, and research institutions. A co-citation network approach reveals the intellectual structure and milestone works, while emergent keyword detection highlights cutting-edge topics such as economic policy uncertainty, climate risk, and green innovation. Furthermore, the study proposes a novel semantic forecasting model, SEF-ACLSTM (Semantic Evolution Forecasting with Aligned Clustered LSTM), to predict the evolution of research themes through 2030. The results identify three major thematic clusters: methodological innovation, traditional risk management, and green finance. The predictive analysis indicates a growing emphasis on methodological and sustainability-oriented topics, suggesting a paradigmatic shift in financial risk research. The findings offer theoretical insights and strategic guidance for future academic inquiry and policy formulation. Full article

This inquiry articulates a conceptually cohesive framework to explore the interplay between ethical leadership–affective commitment, particularly in settings characterized by socio-environmental volatility. Central to the analysis is the examination of how ethical climate functions as a psychological conduit and how psychological empowerment modulates this pathway. Empirical validation was carried out with a sample of 448 employees (175 women, 273 men) from Colombia’s electricity sector, a context where institutional fragility elevates the salience of ethical practices. The study employed structural equation modeling to test the model’s robustness. Results underscore that ethical leadership cultivates a benevolent ethical climate, which in turn reinforces affective commitment. Importantly, this sequence is not fixed but is contingent upon psychological empowerment. The influence of ethical leadership on ethical climate and especially on affective commitment is amplified when empowerment is high; likewise, the ethical climate–affective commitment link becomes more salient under elevated empowerment conditions. These findings highlight the influence of ethical dynamics in organizations. Beyond model validation, this research contributes to broader conversations on social sustainability. Ethical leadership is shown to foster organizational climates rooted in fairness, stakeholder sensitivity, and moral coherence—factors essential for long-term institutional legitimacy. In environments such as Colombia’s electricity industry, where governance infrastructures are evolving, such leadership emerges as a necessary condition for rebuilding trust and promoting shared ethical standards. Accordingly, this study advocates for the systematic cultivation of ethical leadership as a means to enhance organizational loyalty and public credibility. The theoretical model presented here offers fertile ground for cross-cultural replication and further inquiry across industries in emerging economies. Full article

This qualitative study examines how children living in a public housing neighborhood engage in multimodal, embodied meaning-making to restory their community. Focusing on two participants and in partnership with The Kids Club, this paper explores children’s spatial reclamation through embodied and spatialized literacies, complicating stories where children assert whose stories matter and why. Drawing on nexus analysis and narrative inquiry, this study conceptualizes the body as central to cognition and comprehension through texts in action. The sisters spatially reclaim neighborhood narratives via walking tours, heart maps, and photographs that function as multimodal action texts. These practices invite a rethinking of comprehension beyond traditional textual modes, illuminating how children navigate and transform literacy landscapes. This work contributes to conversations about equity in literacy environments and calls on educators and researchers to honor children’s multimodal literacy practices as vital forms of critical comprehension, storytelling, and belonging. Assessment of the Quality of Life in Children and Adolescents with Myopia from the City of Varna

Background: The World Health Organization defines myopia as a global epidemic. Its growing prevalence and the increasingly early age onset all raise a major concern for public health due to the elevated risk of loss and deterioration of visual function as a result of myopia-related ocular pathological complications. However, it remains unclear whether the vision-related quality of life of patients with myopia is the same as in healthy individuals. The aim of the present study is to assess the quality of life in children and adolescents with myopia between the ages of 8 and 16 years, who underwent observation at USBOBAL-Varna. Methods: This study prospectively included 190 patients with myopia between −1.00 and −5.50 D, corrected with different optical aids. After a thorough physical ocular examination and inquiry into the best visual acuity with and without distance correction, specially designed questionnaires were completed by the patients and their parents/guardians for the purpose of the study. The data from the questionnaires was statistically processed. The mean age of the patients in the study was 11.65 years, 101 were female and 89 were male. Of these, 83 wore monofocal glasses, 50 were monofocal and 47 were multifocal contact lenses, and 10 wore ortho-K lenses. Results: No significant difference in best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was found among the three types of optical correction (p-value > 0.05). Cronbach’s alpha of the questionnaire for all 10 factors was higher than 0.6, indicating acceptable internal consistency. Significantly higher scores were reported for overall, near, and distance vision, symptoms, appearance, attitude, activities and hobbies, handling, and perception for soft contact lens wearers than for spectacle wearers (p-value < 0.05). Ortho-K wearers performed better than spectacle wearers in all aspects except for pronounced symptoms (p = 0.74). No significant difference was found between ortho-K wearers and soft contact lens wearers for any factor (p > 0.05). Conclusions: Patients wearing spectacles and with myopia above −5.00 D had the highest anxiety scores and lower quality of life among all myopic participants. The research on the quality of life in children with myopia with different refractive errors and optical correction devices is crucial for improving corrective devices and meeting the needs of patients. Modeling is a fundamental scientific procedure for understanding nature, and it is also one of the basic strategies in inquiry-based science education. Among the various tools available for modeling, this article focuses on investigating a particular framework that uses embodiment to understand both macroscopic and microscopic phenomena. Within this approach, students actively engage as agents in the model and together build the final representation. For that, we present a specific methodology (the IBME approach) for inquiry-based modeling with embodiment. We specify the steps of the modeling approach, which were subsequently tested through instructional sequences based on this method with second-year students obtaining a degree in Primary Education at a public university. We analyzed the instructional sequences both quantitatively and descriptively. The quantitative analysis compares the results of an experimental group (n= 86) with a control group (n = 68) that does not work with inquiry-based modeling. Both groups address the same concepts, and at the end, they complete a questionnaire. The descriptive analysis discusses the details of the modeling process and the discussions that take place throughout the teaching sequences; on the other hand, it also summarizes the progress in the modeling process based on three qualitative parameters. The results obtained after implementing these sequences show significant differences compared to the control group. The descriptive analysis illustrates how students are able to reach the final model by inquiry, that is, through the discussion fostered by the modeling process itself, involving models of different levels of complexity.
