Aviation hydraulic systems operate under high pressure and large flow rates, which induce significant fluid pressure pulsations and hydraulic shocks in pipelines. These pulsations, exacerbated by complex external loads, can lead to excessive vibration stress, component damage, oil leakage, and compromised system safety. While existing methods—such as pump structure optimization, pipeline layout adjustment, and active control—can reduce pulsations to some extent, they are limited by cost, reliability, and adaptability, particularly under high-pressure and multi-excitation conditions. Passive control, using pressure pulsation damping devices, has proven to be more practical; however, conventional designs typically focus on low-load systems and have limited frequency adaptability. This paper proposes a multi-hole parallel pressure pulsation damping device that offers high vibration attenuation, broad adaptability, and easy installation. A combined simulation–experiment approach is employed to investigate its damping mechanism and performance. The results indicate that the damping device effectively reduces vibrations in the 200–500 Hz range, with minimal impact from changes in load pressure and rotational speed. Under a high pressure of 21 MPa and a speed of 1500 rpm, the maximum insertion loss can reach 15.82 dB, significantly reducing the pressure pulsation in the hydraulic pipeline. Full article

The floral morphology of Rosa chinensis significantly influences its ornamental value. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying specific floral types remain poorly understood. Viridiflora, a stable genetic variant of R. chinensis, exhibits homeotic transformation of floral organs into sepal-like structures, providing a valuable model for studying floral organ identity and development. In this study, Viridiflora was compared with Old Blush to elucidate floral development through morphological observation, transcriptomic profiling, and functional genetics. Four distinct developmental stages were defined, encompassing the formation of sepal, petal, stamen, and pistil primordia. Transcriptome analysis identified candidate genes associated with the Viridiflora phenotype, among which RcAGAMOUS2 (RcAG2) and RcFRUITFULL (RcFUL) were selected for in-depth functional characterization. The proteins encoded by these two genes are hydrophilic, lack signal peptides and transmembrane domains, and contain multiple phosphorylation sites. They feature typical MADS-box family domains and show close phylogenetic affinity to Rosa rugosa. Subcellular localization showed their nuclear presence. Heterologous overexpression of RcAG2 and RcFUL in Arabidopsis resulted in notable phenotypic alterations: RcAG2 caused petal reduction and stamen exposure, while RcFUL led to greenish, leaf-like petals with pigmentation gradients, increased sepal number, and failed seed set. Conclusion: These results suggest that RcAG2 and RcFUL play key roles in floral organ development through genetic regulation, providing a theoretical foundation for further research on floral development in R. chinensis. In the context of privacy-preserving face recognition systems, entropy plays a crucial role in determining the efficiency and security of computational processes. However, existing schemes often encounter challenges such as inefficiency and high entropy in their computational models. To address these issues, we propose a privacy-preserving face recognition method based on the Face Feature Coding Method (FFCM) and symmetric homomorphic encryption, which reduces computational entropy while enhancing system efficiency and ensuring facial privacy protection. Specifically, to accelerate the matching speed during the authentication phase, we construct an N-ary feature tree using a neural network-based FFCM, significantly improving ciphertext search efficiency. Additionally, during authentication, the server computes the cosine similarity of the matched facial features in ciphertext form using lightweight symmetric homomorphic encryption, minimizing entropy in the computation process and reducing overall system complexity. Security analysis indicates that critical template information remains secure and resilient against both passive and active attacks. Experimental results demonstrate that the facial authentication efficiency with FFCM classification is 4% to 6% higher than recent state-of-the-art solutions. This method provides an efficient, secure, and entropy-aware approach for privacy-preserving face recognition, offering substantial improvements in large-scale applications. Full article

Background/Objectives: Recurrent oral ulceration (ROU) is the most prevalent disorder of the oral mucosa, affecting approximately 20% of the global population. Current therapies are limited by adverse effects and high recurrence rates. Ai-Fen, enriched in the anti-inflammatory monoterpenoid L-borneol (54.3% w/w), exhibits therapeutic potential but suffers from poor aqueous solubility and low bioavailability. This study aimed to improve the physicochemical properties and in vivo efficacy of Ai-Fen through the preparation of solid dispersions. Methods: Ai-Fen solid dispersions (AF-SD) were prepared by a melt-fusion method using polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG 6000) as the carrier. An L9(33) orthogonal design was employed to optimize three critical parameters: drug-to-carrier ratio, melting temperature, and melting duration. The resulting dispersions were systematically characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). A chemically induced ROU model in rats (n = 8 per group) was established to evaluate the effects of AF-SD on ulcer area, serum inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) levels, and histopathological outcomes. Results: The optimal formulation was obtained at a drug-to-carrier ratio of 1:2, a melting temperature of 70 °C, and a melting time of 5 min. Under these conditions, L-borneol release increased 2.5-fold. DSC and PXRD confirmed complete conversion of Ai-Fen to an amorphous state, while FTIR revealed a 13 cm−1 red shift in the O-H stretching band, indicating hydrogen-bond formation. In vivo, AF-SD reduced ulcer area by 60.7% (p < 0.001) and achieved a healing rate of 74.16%. Serum TNF-α and IL-6 decreased by 55.5% and 49.6%, respectively (both p < 0.001), whereas VEGF increased by 89.6% (p < 0.001). Histological analysis confirmed marked reduction in inflammatory infiltration, accelerated re-epithelialization (score 2.50), and a 5.9-fold increase in neovascularization. Conclusions: AF-SD markedly enhanced the bioavailability of Ai-Fen through amorphization and accelerated ROU healing, likely via dual mechanisms involving suppression of nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB)-mediated inflammation and promotion of angiogenesis. This formulation strategy provides a promising approach for modernizing traditional herbal medicines. Full article

Member 2 of the Xujiahe Formation in the Anyue area of the Sichuan Basin exhibits significant resource potential for tight sandstone gas. However, its characteristic of “extensive gas presence with localized enrichment” leads to substantial variations in single-well productivity, challenges in target zone optimization, and unclear enrichment mechanisms, which hinder efficient exploration and development. This study proposes a hierarchical classification scheme of “two-level, six-type” source–reservoir structures based on the developmental characteristics of fault–fracture systems and vertical source–reservoir configurations. The gas-bearing heterogeneity is quantitatively characterized using parameters such as effective gas layer thickness, charge intensity, and effective gas layer probability, thereby revealing the differential enrichment mechanisms of tight sandstone gas controlled by source–reservoir structures. Our key findings include the following: (1) Member 2 of the Xujiahe Formation develops six subtypes of source–reservoir structures grouped into two levels, with gas-bearing capacities ranked as follows: source–reservoir separation type > source–reservoir adjacent type I > source–reservoir adjacent type II. Among these, the source–reservoir separation type (Level I) and fault–fracture conduit type (Level II) represent the most favorable structures for gas enrichment. (2) Tight sandstone gas enrichment is governed by a tripartite synergistic mechanism: hydrocarbon supply from source rocks, vertical cross-layer migration dominated by fault–fracture systems, and reservoir storage capacity determined by fracture density and reservoir thickness. (3) Three enrichment models are established: (i) a strong enrichment model characterized by “multi-layer source rocks beneath the reservoir, cross-layer migration, and thick fractured reservoirs”; (ii) a moderate enrichment model defined by “single-layer source rocks, localized migration, and medium-thick fractured reservoirs”; and (iii) a weak enrichment model featuring “single-layer hydrocarbon supply, pore-throat migration, and thin tight reservoirs.” This research provides a theoretical basis for optimizing exploration targets in Member 2 of the Xujiahe Formation in the Anyue area and offers insights applicable to analogous continental tight gas reservoirs. In communication environments with limited computing resources, securely and efficiently transmitting image data has become a challenging problem. However, most existing image data protection schemes are based on high-dimensional chaotic systems as key generators, which suffer from issues such as high algorithmic complexity and large computational overhead. To address this, this paper presents new designs for a 1D Sine Fractional Chaotic Map (1D-SFCM) as a random sequence generator and provides mathematical proofs related to the boundedness and fixed points of this model. Furthermore, this paper improves the traditional 2D compressive sensing (2DCS) algorithm by using the newly designed 1D-SFCM map to generate a chaotic measurement matrix, which can effectively enhance the quality of image recovery and reconstruction. Moreover, referring to the principle of gene mutation in biogenetics, this paper designs an image encryption algorithm based on DNA base substitution. Finally, the security of the proposed encryption scheme and the quality of image compression and reconstruction are verified through indicators such as key space, information entropy, and Number of Pixel Change Rate (NPCR). Age-associated hair loss is primarily driven by decreased function and proliferation of hair follicle stem cells (HFSCs), often exacerbated by increased inhibitory signaling and changes in the stem cell niche. Macrophage polarization to the anti-inflammatory M2 phenotype is known to increase stem cell proliferation. We investigated the effects of poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) on hair growth in middle-aged skin, focusing on its role in modulating macrophage polarization and HFSC activity. Senescent macrophages were analyzed for Piezo1 activity, macrophage polarization, and secretion of hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) after PDLLA treatment. Downstream effects on HFSC proliferation, stemness, and Wnt signaling were assessed, including inhibition experiments using the Piezo1 blocker GsMTx4. In vivo analyses assessed hair follicle number, diameter, length, anagen duration, and hair coverage following PDLLA administration in middle-aged mice. PDLLA increased Piezo1 expression and activity in senescent macrophages, enhancing M2 polarization and secretion of HGF and IGF-1. This activated the RAS/ERK signaling pathway, promoting HFSC proliferation and stemness. Furthermore, PDLLA upregulated Wnt signaling molecules (Wnt3a, Wnt10b, and β-catenin) and anagen phase-related factor (Axin2, LEF1, and Lgr5), which were decreased by GsMTX4. In middle-aged animal skin, PDLLA administration led to increased hair follicle number, diameter, and length, as well as prolonged anagen and greater hair coverage. Collectively, these findings suggest that PDLLA rejuvenates the middle-aged skin microenvironment, at least in part through Piezo1-associated M2 macrophage polarization and enhanced HFSC function, offering a promising therapeutic strategy for age-related hair loss targeting both the immune and the stem cell compartments. To address the challenges of decarbonization in the global transportation sector and disposal of waste tires, warm asphalt rubber (WAR) with low viscosity and high performance was prepared. In particular, the preparation and rheological behavior of WAR incorporating composite warm mix systems at relatively high crumb rubber contents have not been thoroughly documented. In this study, WAR prepared under such conditions was systematically examined. A five-factor, three-level segmented orthogonal experimental design (OED) was employed to investigate the effects of preparation parameters on hot mix asphalt rubber (AR) properties. Based on the optimized AR formulation, a composite warm mix system combining Ultra-Warm Mix additive (UWM) and Sasobit was developed, and control groups containing 5% UWM only and 1.5% Sasobit only were prepared for comparison. Conventional physical tests together with rheological characterization, including Dynamic Shear Rheometer (DSR), Multiple Stress Creep Recovery (MSCR), and Bending Beam Rheometer (BBR) tests, were conducted to evaluate the high- and low-temperature performance of WAR. Results show that the optimal preparation process consisted of aromatic oil content 5%, crumb rubber content 30%, shear temperature 220 °C, shear time 120 min, and reaction time 90 min. The composite warm mix system notably enhanced WAR performance, with the WAR-5U1.5S group exhibiting the most balanced properties. A marked reduction in rotational viscosity was achieved while maintaining a stable softening point, and satisfactory ductility and elastic recovery were also retained. DSR and MSCR tests confirmed improved high-temperature deformation resistance, an increase in percent recovery R, and a decrease in non-recoverable creep compliance Jnr. BBR test further verified that the composite system maintained good low-temperature cracking resistance, meeting all specification requirements. Overall, these results indicate that, compared with the optimized AR, WAR can reduce mixing viscosity without sacrificing rutting or cracking performance, while alleviating the limitations observed for single warm mix additives. This study provides essential technical support for promoting WAR that integrates low-carbon construction with superior pavement performance. Full article

To enhance the operational damage resistance of hydraulic machinery, this study employed laser cladding technology to fabricate a Co37.4Cr30Ni20Al5Ti5Nb2.6 high-entropy alloy coating on 04Cr13Ni5Mo substrate. The influence of laser power on the microstructure and properties of the coating was systematically investigated. Based on preliminary research, the friction-wear performance and cavitation erosion behavior of the coatings prepared at 3000 W, 3200 W, and 3400 W were specifically examined. Results indicate that as the laser power increased from 3000 W to 3400 W, the microhardness of the coating gradually decreased from 345.3 HV0.2. At 3000 W, the precipitation of trace strengthening phases significantly enhanced the mechanical properties. In wear tests under a 20 N load for 30 min, the wear rate of the coating prepared at 3000 W was 1.41 × 10−4 mm3/(N·m), which is 13.5% lower than that of the 3200 W coating (1.63 × 10−4 mm3/(N·m)) and 16.07% higher in wear resistance compared to the substrate. Cavitation erosion tests revealed that after 20 h of ultrasonic vibration, the mass loss of the 3000 W coating was only 2.35 mg, representing an 88.89% reduction compared to the substrate (21.15 mg), and significantly lower than that of the 3200 W (4.57 mg) and 3400 W (3.85 mg) coatings. This study demonstrates that precise control of laser power can effectively optimize the cavitation erosion resistance of high-entropy alloy coatings, providing technical support for their application in harsh environments. Black-odorous water pollution presents a serious threat to aquatic ecosystems and severely hinders the sustainable development of the ecological environment, as conventional remediation technologies often fall short in achieving the simultaneous removal of multiple pollutants. In this study, a novel composite remediation agent was developed by integrating microbial active components with modified clay minerals—sodium-modified zeolite (Na-Z) and magnesium–aluminum–lanthanum layered ternary hydroxides loaded onto sulfuric acid-modified bentonite (Mg-Al-La-LTHs@SBt)—through gel-embedding immobilization. This integrated system enabled the synergistic remediation of both overlying water and sediment pollutants. The modified clay minerals exhibited strong adsorption capacity for nitrogen and phosphorus compounds in the overlying water. Under 25 °C conditions, the composite agent achieved removal efficiencies of 58.14% for ammonium nitrogen (NH4+-N) and 88.89% for total phosphorus (TP) while significantly reducing sedimentary organic matter and acid volatile sulfide (AVS). Notably, the agent retained substantial remediation efficacy even under low-temperature conditions (5 °C). High-throughput microbial community analysis revealed that the treatment enriched beneficial phyla (e.g., Proteobacteria) and beneficial genera (e.g., Thiobacillus) and suppressed sulfate-reducing groups (e.g., Desulfobacterota), promoting favorable nitrogen and sulfur transformations. These results provide a robust material and methodological basis for efficient, synergistic restoration of black-odorous water and the sustainable development of water resources. Full article

The voluminous Mesozoic volcanic rocks developed in the Great Xing’an Range, northeastern China, have received extensive attention in recent decades. However, the timing and petrogenesis, as well as the related geodynamic processes of the Late Mesozoic volcanism, are still controversial. In this paper, we present the whole-rock geochemistry and zircon U–Pb ages for the Late Mesozoic volcanic rocks from the western part of the central Great Xing’an Range, which provide considerable insights into the geodynamic setting of the region. The zircon U-Pb dating results indicate that two main episodes of volcanism occurred in the central Great Xing’an Range, including in the Late Jurassic (ca. 147 Ma) and Early Cretaceous (ca. 142–125 Ma). These Late Mesozoic volcanic rocks display similar geochemical compositions, which are mainly intermediate–felsic, alkaline, peraluminous to metaluminous, enriched in large ion lithophile elements and light rare earth elements, and depleted in high-field-strength elements, indicating arc affinities in the subduction zone. The trace element compositions suggest that the magmatism was related to a post-collisional extensional environment. Combined with the spatial distribution and temporal migration of the Mesozoic magmatic events in the whole northeastern China region, we propose that these Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous volcanic rocks formed in a continental arc setting, which was mainly related to the rollback of the subducted Paleo-Pacific oceanic plate. To address the challenges in simulating nonpoint source pollution inflow, pollutant source distribution, and migration pathways in plain river network regions, this study innovatively proposes an optimized technical framework based on the NDR module of the InVEST model. Through land use data reconstruction, DEM negative value correction, and flow accumulation threshold optimization, the framework effectively resolves key issues including pollutant receiving water identification, runoff path simulation, and pollutant migration termination determination, significantly enhancing the model’s applicability to complex river systems. Using the Taipu River as a case study, this research investigates the spatial distribution characteristics of nonpoint source pollution load inflow and its sources in major rivers within plain river network regions. Results show that in 2023, total nitrogen and total phosphorus inflows into the Taipu River were 1004.11 t/a and 83.80 t/a, respectively, with pollution loads primarily originating from the Wangning Polders in the midstream, Chengnan New District Small Watersheds and Chang Yang River Small Watersheds, mainly entering the Taipu River through tributaries such as the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and Nanzha Port. Calculations based on measured data indicate total nitrogen and total phosphorus inflows into the Taipu River were approximately 1300 t/a and 90 t/a, respectively, consistent with model predictions. Building on environmental capacity assessment results, this study proposes targeted recommendations for precision-based nonpoint source pollution control in the Taipu River basin. The findings provide scientific evidence and technical paradigms for nonpoint source pollution management and sustainable management in plain river network regions. Full article

China’s nuclear power plants traditionally operate to meet baseload needs, with minimal involvement in peak load regulation. However, as the share of renewable energy generation rapidly increases, the volatility of the power system and the demand for peak load regulation have significantly risen, necessitating greater nuclear power flexibility to meet the new power system’s requirements. Our study forecasts the energy structure and load demand for the Province of Liaoning in Northeastern China in 2035. Under this vision, it analyzes the flexibility challenges faced by nuclear generation units. A joint clearing model for spot electricity and ancillary services, along with an energy storage revenue model, was established. Based on this, this study analyzed the clearing results for various typical scenarios in the Province of Liaoning in 2035. The simulation results demonstrate that nuclear units will participate in peak shaving by the target year. This study demonstrates the feasibility of solid-state thermal storage in improving both flexibility and economic efficiency of nuclear generation. Based on these findings, policy recommendations are proposed, including improving regulation compensation mechanisms and promoting multi-energy coupling, providing crucial theoretical and practical support for the role transformation of nuclear generation entities in the new power system. This study establishes a full lifecycle economic assessment model for combined heat and power revenue versus thermal storage investment costs, considering integrated nuclear power–solid thermal energy storage heating systems as the primary technical pathway. Taking a configuration plan with a 715 MW heating capacity and a 6000 MWh thermal storage capacity as an example under Liaoning Province’s 2035 long-term scenario, the simulation results indicate that introducing solid thermal energy storage can significantly improve the revenue structure of nuclear units while meeting deep peak shaving demands, reducing the project’s static payback period to under 11 years. The rapid rise of the pre-loved luxury fashion market in China reflects a unique shift in consumer behaviour, shaped by growing concerns for sustainability, affordability, and personal expression. While global scholarship on circular fashion has expanded, studies remain predominantly focused on Western consumers, leaving Chinese market dynamics underexplored. This study addresses this gap by examining the motivations and channel engagement of Chinese consumers purchasing pre-loved luxury fashion, including pre-owned, vintage, and collectors’ items. A sequential mixed-methods design was employed, integrating quantitative data from a survey of 438 Chinese consumers with qualitative insights from 21 semi-structured interviews. Structural equation modelling revealed that economic, individual, and social motivations significantly influenced perceived value, which in turn enhanced engagement with resale channels. Functional motivations, though present, played a less prominent role. Furthermore, engagement with online and offline channels, including social media platforms, livestream commerce, and luxury consignment boutiques, was found to mediate the relationship between perceived value and purchase intention. The study contributes to theory by adapting established luxury value frameworks to the pre-loved context and by introducing channel engagement as a mediating construct in the consumption of second-hand luxury fashion. The main theoretical frameworks that underpin the study, such as the Brand Luxury Index and the Four Value Dimensions, are used to provide a clearer understanding of its conceptual foundation. In particular, some key quantitative indicators, such as β-values or R2, would make the summary more specific and informative. Practically, the findings provide actionable insights for platform operators and luxury brands seeking to build consumer trust and enhance experiential value in China’s rapidly evolving resale market. By situating the research within a culturally specific and digitally advanced retail environment, the study broadens understanding of circular luxury fashion consumption in non-Western contexts.
