Mathematics is central to modeling problems from other areas. It is the language that scientists use to understand the world. Symmetries often appear in mathematical formulations and become essential for solving problems or delving further into research.
The main aim of this Section is to present fundamental and frontier theories and techniques for modern science and technology. It will stimulate research interest for the exploration of mathematical applications and directly pass new knowledge to the next generation. The objective of this Section is to present high-quality studies that use non-trivial mathematics and apply their symmetries to relevant problems from all areas. Among others, papers on these topics are welcome:
- Dynamical systems;
- Mathematical physics;
- Geometrical and topological methods;
- Applied mathematics;
- Discrete mathematics and graph theory;
- Mathematical analysis.
Prof. Dr. Dongfang Li is now leading the Special Issue "Symmetric Methods and Analysis for Differential and Integral Equations", in which feature papers will be published.
