Entropy increases impact factor to 1.183

Thomson Reuters has released the 2011 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), showing an increase to the impact factor for Entropy.

The 2011 impact factor for Entropy is 1.183 (up from 1.109).

Prof. Dr. Kevin H. Knuth, the Editor-in-Chief, commented "This is excellent news for the journal Entropy. What was once considered to be one of the most obscure concepts in physics, entropy is now finding its proper place in the sciences as we have come to understand its intimate relation to information. To date, Entropy has published over 586 articles with more than 1 million views and 429 citations in 2011 making Entropy one of the leading journals in this rapidly growing field.
