
Empowering Academic Growth with MDPI Academic Publishing Workshop at College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University, 11 February 2026
We are pleased to announce the launch of the MDPI Academic Publishing Workshop, a collaborative initiative between the College of Arts, Media and Technology at Chiang Mai University and MDPI. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research that tackles global sustainability challenges through innovative methodologies, cross-sector collaboration and transformative solutions.
Serving as a key component of a long-term alliance, this workshop is designed to support and empower researchers at Chiang Mai University. It will highlight emerging trends in sustainability, promote open access publishing strategies, and provide opportunities for direct interaction with journal editors and industry professionals. Through this session, the event aims to equip participants—particularly early-career researchers and innovators—with the skills to enhance the impact of their academic work and to build meaningful international collaborations.

Worawit Janchai, PhD, is an Assistant Professor and currently serves as Dean of the College of Arts, Media and Technology (CAMT), Chiang Mai University, Thailand. He earned his PhD in knowledge management. His scholarly and professional interests focus on knowledge management, workplace learning, learning organization, and knowledge worker development, with an emphasis on applying interdisciplinary approaches to organizational and educational innovation. |

Prof. Charoenkwan completed his PhD in bioinformation and systems biology. His academic interests span information technology, modern management systems, and interdisciplinary applications of computational biology and informatics. He has published research within his fields of expertise, achieving recognition within World’s Top 2% Scientists rankings for contributions to Information & Communication Technologies with bioinformatics applications. |

Ms. Varittha Sritalahareuthai holds a master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from the Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University. She joined MDPI in 2020 as an Assistant Editor for the Plants and Mathematical and Computational Applications journals and has served as Section Managing Editor of Plants since 2023. As a group leader for three sections, Varittha is recognized for her strong leadership, effective teamwork, and ability to foster a collaborative and supportive working environment. |

Dr. Juthathip Poofery holds a PhD in biochemistry from the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, Thailand. She began working at MDPI in 2021 as an Assistant Editor for Medicina and advanced to the position of Section Managing Editor in 2022. Since 2023, Dr. Poofery has been serving as the Group Leader of the “Medical Science” Section, where she oversees editorial operations and contributes to the advancement of research in the field. |

Ms. Hathaipat Kittirojana obtained her master’s degree in food science and biotechnology from Teesside University. She joined MDPI in December 2020 as an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Imaging. She was appointed as a Section Managing Editor in March 2023 and a Regional Journal Relations Specialist for the Asia–Pacific region in July 2024. |

Ms. Ploy Assavajamroon obtained her master’s degree in chemistry from Thammasat University, Thailand, in 2020 and joined MDPI as an Assistant Editor for the journal Crystals in the same year. She became a Section Managing Editor in 2021 and a Group Leader in 2022. She is currently one of MDPI’s Regional Journal Relations Specialists for the Asia–Pacific region. |
