Osteology Webinar | Morse-Taper Connections, Biconometry, and Dynamic Navigation in Implant Dentistry, 4 February 2026
Message from the Chair:
Several types of implant–abutment connections are available on the market. In recent decades, in vitro and in vivo studies—along with histological, clinical, and radiological investigations—have demonstrated that Morse-taper connections exhibit superior sealing capabilities at the implant–abutment microgap.
These connections are associated with reduced bacterial leakage, healthier peri-implant soft tissues, and lower marginal bone loss, even after long-term follow-up periods of 10 to 20 years. In the past decade, numerous microbiological, clinical, and radiological studies have shown that conometric prosthetic crown–abutment connections outperform traditional screwed or cemented systems in terms of biological and mechanical stability.
Employing specialized hardware and software, dynamic navigation enables clinicians to place implants with significantly greater accuracy and precision compared to conventional techniques.
