Walailak University, Thailand, Joins MDPI’s Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP)

10 November 2025

We are delighted to announce that Walailak University, Thailand, is now a participant in the MDPI’s Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP). This marks Walailak University as MDPI’s fourth local partner since the launch of our Bangkok Office.

As part of this agreement, authors affiliated with Walailak University will benefit from an IOAP discount on article processing charges (APCs) across all MDPI journals. Additionally, the university will have access to our online submission system (SuSy), where they can find full article metadata and pricing information, providing easy identification and additional transparency. We hope that researchers at Walailak University find the program beneficial, as it will enhance the visibility and accessibility of their scholarly work.

The agreement was signed following conversations between the MDPI Bangkok Office and Walailak University. This partnership continues to support Thai universities with our open access publishing services and paves the way for joint initiatives in academic events, conferences, media collaboration, and recruitments.

We are pleased to offer the benefits of our IOAP agreement to other institutions seeking a streamlined and efficient publishing process.

Please direct any inquiries regarding the MDPI IOAP in Thailand to the MDPI Bangkok Office at bangkok@mdpi.com, with the Institutional Partnerships team at ioap@mdpi.com copied.
