VII Water Congress: Landscape, Heritage and Environment
The “VII Water Congress: Landscape, heritage and environment”, which will celebrate its seventh edition in 2025, is a forum for high-level scientific dissemination aimed at fostering collaboration in water resources management: planning, assessment of impacts, and socioeconomic analysis.
This edition is organized by the University of Alicante, in collaboration with Diputación de Alicante, Spain, and will be held from 12th to 13th September 2025 in Elche, Spain.
Water, in connection with landscape conservation, the protection of cultural heritage, and the environment, must be analyzed from different perspectives due to the complexity involved in integrated water resources management, addressing complex challenges that require multidisciplinary and collaborative approaches. Although there exist numerous studies addressing each of these elements separately, there are few studies that comprehensively analyze the relationship between water, landscape, and heritage. The conference will therefore facilitate the generation of new knowledge, the identification of best practices, and the establishment of collaborative networks between researchers, managers, and stakeholders. It will serve as a meeting place for experts from various disciplines, representatives of public and private institutions, and civil society organizations to exchange experiences, knowledge, and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities posed by the integrated management of water, landscape, and heritage.
