Plant Environmental Stress Physiology and Sustainability

Dear Colleagues, 

This Special Issue is focused on plant environmental stress physiology and sustainability. Investigation and understanding of plant stress responses to various abiotic stressors (temperature, water, radiation, chemical and mechanical stress) can contribute to sustained and increased productivity, as well as improved quality of crops under today’s changing environment. New and innovative findings/opinions apropos of (bio)controlled stress management, methodology and technology can improve sustainable plant protection in the future. The selected papers cover results of basic and applied sciences which can serve sustainable agriculture based on the understanding of plant physiological responses to diverse environmental stresses and provide information for a practical purpose. Papers selected for this Special Issue will be subjected to a rigorous peer-review procedure with the aim of a rapid and wide dissemination of research results, developments and applications.

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Sustainability is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
