Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The significance of economic sustainability has markedly increased in recent decades owing to global issues like climate change, technological upheaval, financial crises, and escalating social disparities.  As enterprises and society confront these challenges, economic sustainability offers a framework for reconciling profitability with accountability, innovation with stability, and development with equity. Economic sustainability denotes the capacity of an economy, organization, or society to maintain enduring development, prosperity, and stability without depleting resources or engendering systemic hazards.  It is important to ensure that contemporary economic endeavors do not undermine the capacity of future generations to fulfill their requirements, while concurrently allowing companies and communities to prosper in the present.

In this context, we are pleased to invite you to contribute to the Special Issue titled "Strategic Management and Innovation Dynamics: Pathways to Economic Sustainability". The present Special Issue aims to explore the intersection of sustainable economic practices, leadership approaches, and innovation-driven strategies in contemporary organizations. The scope encompasses theoretical, empirical, and practical studies that examine how leaders can balance economic growth with sustainability imperatives, while simultaneously fostering innovation that drives long-term competitiveness and societal value creation.

This Special Issues seeks contributions addressing, but not limited to, the following dimensions:

  • Economic sustainability strategies in business and public sectors, including responsible resource allocation, sustainable business models, and value creation for diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership dynamics in advancing sustainability, particularly ethical and adaptive leadership styles that enable organizations to navigate complexity and uncertainty.
  • Innovation ecosystems and their role in linking sustainability objectives with technological, social, and organizational innovation.
  • Cross-disciplinary perspectives, integrating economics, management, leadership, sustainability studies, and innovation research.
  • Global and regional perspectives, with attention to emerging economies, local contexts, and comparative analyses of sustainability-driven leadership practices worldwide.
