Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
As the global economy shifts toward a low-carbon future, the logistics sector stands at a crossroads. The transition to Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is no longer just an ethical choice; it is an economic necessity driven by regulatory mandates, investor pressure, and the rising costs of resource scarcity.
This Special Issue aims to curate groundbreaking research that addresses the economic and business complexities of integrating sustainability into the heart of logistics. We seek papers that move beyond "greenwashing" to provide data-driven solutions and theoretical frameworks for a resilient, sustainable future.
We invite submissions on a broad range of topics, including but not limited to, the following:
- Financial Performance of GSCM: Measuring the correlation between green logistics and long-term profitability.
- Carbon-Neutral Warehousing: Smart building technologies and energy-efficient inventory management.
- Reverse Logistics and the Circular Economy: Business models for product recovery, refurbishment, and recycling.
- Policy and Regulation: The impact of carbon taxes and international environmental standards on logistics strategy.
- Technological Innovations: The use of Big Data and AI for route optimization and emission reduction.
- Sustainable Sourcing: Balancing cost and ethics in global supplier networks.
Colleagues are invited to share experiences, opinions, case reports and reviews that address environmental assessment and management for sustainable development.
