Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The Special Issue “New Trends in Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT)” explores the rapidly evolving convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), a synergy that is reshaping industries, services, and everyday life. As connected devices generate unprecedented volumes of data, the integration of AI enables intelligent analytics, adaptive learning, and real-time decision making at the edge and in the cloud. This Special Issue welcomes cutting-edge research and practical innovations that advance AIoT architectures, edge intelligence, federated and distributed learning, privacy-preserving AI, and autonomous systems. Topics include smart healthcare, energy, transportation, industrial automation, and sustainable cities, as well as challenges in security, scalability, and interoperability. By combining theoretical contributions with applied case studies, the Special Issue aims to foster a holistic understanding of how AIoT can enable context-aware, trustworthy, and resilient digital ecosystems. Contributions from academia, industry, and multidisciplinary collaborations are encouraged to demonstrate how AIoT technologies can drive efficiency, sustainability, and innovation across sectors.
