Sensor Materials
A section of Sensors (ISSN 1424-8220).
Section Information
The Sensor Materials Section of Sensors provides a platform for original peer-reviewed papers and focused reviews encompassing all aspects related to sensor materials and their applications. Specifically, it welcomes contributions involving sensors that rely on specific properties of materials for sensing transduction, as well as those utilizing advanced, smart, engineered, special, tailored, or exotic materials for transduction purposes. Additionally, this Section aims to showcase sensors and measurement systems applied to characterizing specific material properties.
The Sensors Materials Section encompasses a diverse range of materials, including (but not limited to) semiconducting materials, ceramic materials, metallic materials, organic materials, piezoelectric materials, two-dimensional materials, nanomaterials, biomaterials, biological-derived materials, metal–organic frameworks, soft materials, metamaterials, and chromogenic materials. We encourage researchers to explore novel and innovative uses of these materials in the development of cutting-edge sensing technologies.
