Recruiting Editors at Editorial Board of Robotics

The journal is looking to expand the Editorial Board in order to cover areas that need additional representation by the current team. If you are interested in serving as an Editor on the Editorial Board or would like to recommend potential candidates, please reach out to us at [email protected].

  • Agricultural and Field Robotics Section, led by Dr. Roberto Sabatini (Australia);
  • Intelligent Robots and Mechatronics Section, led by Dr. Giuseppe Carbone (Italy);
  • Industrial Robots and Automation Section;
  • Medical Robotics and Service Robotics Section;
  • Sensors and Control in Robotics Section;
  • Soft Robotics Section;
  • Aerospace Robotics and Autonomous Systems Section.

Qualifications:

A Ph.D in a scientific discipline is a must. It is preferrable if the candidate is a professor or an assistant professor with:

(1). Extensive professional experience in editorial work and publishing of peer-reviewed journals;

(2). Experience in scientific writing, with at least three first author scientific publications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Section Editorial Board Member, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing a couple of manuscripts per year;
  • Editing a Special Issue on a topic related to your research, and making the final decisions for submitted papers;
  • Recommending timely topics and suggesting potential guest editors;
  • Identifying appropriate conferences for editors to attend;
  • Promoting the journal.

Benefits:

Eligible to publish one paper in the journal free of charge per year;

Eligible to invite or recommend one paper to be published free of charge per year;

Name of the Editor will be listed at the top of the Editorial Board at our website, or the printed versions of articles/books/reports;

Offer documents will be offered and certificates as well as recommendation letters will be provided to excellent performers.

  • A CV;
  • A brief description of your prior editorial experience and why you are the most suitable for this role;
  • A proposal that lays out your vision for the journal and the section and how are you going to broaden the reach of the journal or increase its quality;
  • Other relevant experience.
