Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Remote sensing has grown up and widely used in several applications in our daily life. Remote sensing of IoT devices has attracted most of the companies and manufactures due to the ability of exchange the huge amount of data. Smart system such as Artificial Intelligent (AI), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Healthcare Applications and Smart Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) for satellite communications are employing the smart remote sensing. IoT-end device of remote sensing provides the foundation to support the development of digital intelligent revolutions (DIR) that will create massive opportunities to address important artificial intelligences, advance satellite communications, industrial control systems and healthcare systems challenges in areas such as health systems, smart industry, smart grid, smart cities, and advance satellite communications.

This diversity of IoT based smart sensing technologies has enforced the needs to address the most significant issues and propose practical solutions, IoT applications, and intelligent communications solutions to improve the connectivity between the IoT component systems.

The research and developments towards smart remote sensing IoT based technologies and the environment in IoT based intelligent communications in integrated IoT systems will defiantly support the lack of consideration for IoT based intelligent communications resulting in effective social and economic benefit. Driven by an improvement of smart remote sensing IoT based on intelligent communications system for different use cases in smart supported by integrated smart remote sensing IoT systems, new technologies are very keen to expand the realistic smart remote sensing in IoT environment.

Why this topic is Important to MDPI readers?

This special issue aims to provide opportunities for researchers and practitioners to publish their latest novel work and major contributions with new methodologies and techniques toward remote sensing of IoT directions and trends applications scenarios for smart industry revolution. Theoretical investigation and prototype implementation-based studies are welcomed, as MDPI remote sense journal attracts practical articles discussing new experiments or measurements techniques, interesting solutions to engineering including negative results.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Remote Sensing is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2700 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
