Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to present the second issue of "State-of-the-Art Polymer Science and Technology in Italy." Following the great interest in the first issue, the editorial board has decided to continue this Special Issue, focusing on advancements in polymer research in Italy. We introduce this edition with great enthusiasm, reflecting on the ongoing developments in our field.
Polymer Science and polymer technology are crucial and prolific scientific fields, with numerous interdisciplinary connections and significant economic impacts. Their progress and dissemination represent both a challenge for universities and research centers and an opportunity for a country's economic development. However, public appreciation of this field has been declining in recent years, partly due to legitimate concerns about pollution from poorly managed plastic waste.
This Special Issue aims, on the one hand, to highlight current expertise and indicate the main scientific advancements and technological opportunities that the future holds and, on the other hand, to show how studies in the field can help in reducing environmental impacts.
We invite you to contribute to this scientific endeavor by submitting your papers and actively participating. The primary criterion is that the core of the study should be conducted in Italy or by Italian researchers.
We hope that this Special Issue will effectively showcase the state of polymer research in Italy and present a vibrant picture of our contributions to the global scientific community.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Polymers is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2700 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
