2014 Polymers adopted a monthly publication schedule.
Polymers announced the first edition of the Best Paper Award.
2015 Polymers published its 500th paper.
2016 Polymers announced the first edition of the Young Investigators Award.
Polymers published its 1000th paper.
2018 The first Polymers conference, Polymers: Design, Function and Application, was held in Barcelona, Spain.
2019 Polymers was indexed in PubMed and PubMed Central.
Polymers established the following sections:
Section Polymer Synthesis;
Section Polymer Analysis;
Section Polymer Physics;
Section Polymer Theory and Simulation;
Section Polymer Processing and Performance;
Section Polymer Applications;
Section Biopolymers.
Polymers published its 5000th paper.
2020 Section Biopolymers was renamed as Biomacromolecules, Biobased and Biodegradable Polymers.

The First International Conference on “Green” Polymer Materials 2020 was held online.
Section Polymer Analysis was renamed as Polymer Analysis and Characterization.
Section Polymer Processing and Performance was renamed as Polymer Processing and Engineering.
Sections Polymer Physics was merged with Section Polymer Theory and Simulation to create a new section: Polymer Physics and Theory.
Sections Polymer Recycling was merged with Section Green and Sustainable Chemistry in Polymer Science to create a new section: Circular and Green Polymer Chemistry.
