Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The XIV Bolyai–Gauss–Lobachevsky conference on Non-Euclidean Geometry in Physics and Mathematics will be held between September 15 and September 17 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The main goal of the conference is dedicated to the investigation of the relationship between different branches of differential geometry and their applications in physics, as well as to the presentation of the most recent advances in these fields.

With the advent of general relativity, non-Euclidean and Riemannian geometries have become the primary methods for the investigation of gravity and of the physics of particles and fields, which is why the latest advancements in these fields of fundamental physics are a central topic of the conference. In this respect, the conference covers topics related to cosmology, dark energy, and dark matter, as well as to modified theories of gravity. The Hubble tension and its possible solutions, quantum gravity, and quantum field theory in curved spacetimes will also be covered in the conference. Other subjects of interest from the point of view of both physics and mathematics are matter under extreme physical conditions and the theory of complex systems, including their applications in various fields of biology and engineering.

 From a mathematical perspective, recent developments in differential geometry are a central topic in the conference. They may open some new perspectives on the application of mathematical methods in physics and life sciences; they may also open the possibility for a constructive and creative dialogue between mathematicians and professionals in other fields of science.

The results of this scientific event will be published in a Special Issue of the MDPI journal Particles.
