Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

A well-balanced diet encompassing a diverse range of essential nutrients plays a pivotal role in sustaining optimal bone health and serves as a crucial preventive measure against osteoporosis and other debilitating bone diseases.

This Special Issue is specifically designed to delve into the intricate roles of lipid metabolism, sugar metabolism, probiotics, and the gut microbiota in relation to bone health, as well as their significant impact on chronic and degenerative skeletal conditions like osteoporosis and arthritis. It will comprehensively explore the underlying and evolving mechanisms through which these factors influence bone health and disease states. Moreover, it will examine the profound therapeutic implications of these mechanisms for nutritional interventions, aiming to provide valuable insights and practical strategies for promoting bone health and managing related disorders through dietary and nutritional approaches.
