Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to contribute to the Special Issue of Nutrients entitled “Precision Use of Dietary Supplements in Cardiovascular, Metabolic, and Inflammatory Disorders”.

Cardiovascular and metabolic disorders remain among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. A growing body of evidence suggests that dietary supplements may play a role in modulating lipid profiles, glucose metabolism, blood pressure, and inflammatory markers. However, despite promising findings, current knowledge is often fragmented, and the translational applicability in clinical and real-world settings is still unclear.

This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive and integrative overview of the applicability of dietary supplements in cardiovascular, metabolic, and inflammatory health. We welcome submissions that investigate both mechanistic and clinical perspectives, including randomized controlled trials, cohort studies, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. Special attention will be given to interventions involving vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, functional foods, and nutraceuticals, with a focus on outcomes such as cholesterol and triglyceride levels, insulin sensitivity, vascular function, blood pressure regulation, and biomarkers of systemic inflammation.

By compiling high-quality evidence, this Special Issue seeks to identify effective supplementation strategies, clarify conflicting results in the literature, and explore potential synergistic effects when combined with lifestyle or pharmacological interventions. The collection will provide valuable insights for clinicians, researchers, and policymakers, bridging the gap between experimental data and clinical applicability in the prevention and management of cardiometabolic and inflammatory conditions.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Nutrients is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2900 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
