Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues and Non-coding RNA Aficionados,

Hello to the ones who love science, love making discoveries, and love the non-coding RNAs!

It's time to celebrate—the Non-Coding RNA journal is celebrating its 10th anniversary!

In fact, the journal had a wonderful first decade. First, because of so many readers, as the papers published are downloaded by thousands of colleagues each year.

Also, because of the authors, we publish excellent papers—more papers in experimental research and also comprehensive reviews.

The colleagues in the Editorial Board have done a fantastic job, and I want to thank all of you who kindly agreed to put in additional extra time to work for the journal—review, organize Special Issues, write papers, and write commentaries.

And of course, thank you also to the reviewers outside the Editorial Board, because without reviewing, nothing can be done.

A special thank you to the editorial staff that made our life much easier by their hard work on the day-to-day operations for the success of the journal: Dorothy, Jennie, Daniel, Zander, Franck, Luis, Clàudia, Facundo, Angela, and the other colleagues from Barcelona and other editorial offices.

The importance of non-coding RNAs is essential for biology and diseases. The main goal of the Non-Coding RNA journal is to be the best place for publishing very good papers on non-coding RNA and reviewing them in a quick and professional manner. To speed and streamline the process, we now have seven sections and many Section Editors, and I want to thank all of you who agreed to be Section Editors. Thank you for this extra work, because certainly this helps not only the journal, but it’s also helping the younger colleagues to publish well on non-coding RNAs.

It is also time to prepare a Special Issue focused on the Non-Coding RNA journal’s first decade. I invite all the members of the Editorial Board, the authors of former papers, and any scientist with a passion for ncRNAs to contribute experimental papers or reviews. Any topic on ncRNAs that is new and they consider interesting can be covered! With the editorial staff, I will organize a quick and fair reviewing process to publish the most interesting manuscripts.

Science is all about having fun making discoveries and presenting reproducible results that back up creative conclusions!

Thank you all again, and keep making discoveries on non-coding RNAs!

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Non-Coding RNA is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1800 CHF (Swiss Francs).
