9–12 November 2025 The 21st SBMO/IEEE MTT-S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference (IMOC 2025)

Paraíba, Brazil

The 21st SBMO/IEEE MTT-S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference (IMOC 2025) will be held from 9 to 12 November 2025, in Campina Grande, Paraíba, Brazil, at the Garden Hotel. Organized by the Brazilian Microwave and Optoelectronics Society (SBMO), IMOC 2025 is financially co-sponsored by the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) and technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S). The conference continues its long-standing tradition of fostering high-level scientific and technological exchange in the fields of microwaves, millimeter waves, terahertz, and optoelectronics.

IMOC 2025 aims to bring together researchers, academics, industry professionals, and students from Brazil, Latin America, and across the globe. The event covers a broad range of topics, including antennas and propagation, RF/microwave circuits and systems, optoelectronics and photonics, wireless communications, signal processing, biomedical applications, and emerging areas such as 5G/6G, IoT, and Industry 4.0. The technical program will include keynote speeches by renowned international researchers, regular paper sessions, tutorials, an industrial exhibition, and special sessions for Ph.D. students such as “My Thesis in 3 Minutes” and a short-paper track for undergraduate students. A dedicated session on Women in Microwaves and Photonics will also be held.

The conference is chaired by Prof. Alexandre Jean René Serres (UFCG), with Prof. Anthony Ghiotto (ENSEIRB-MATMECA, Bordeaux INP) acting as the Vice-Chair. The Technical Program Committee is led by Prof. Antonio Campos (UFRN). IMOC 2025 will also feature a vibrant social program, including a welcome reception, gala dinner, and cultural activities, encouraging networking and collaboration among participants.

Key dates include the paper submission deadline on 20 July 2025, notification of acceptance on 25 August 2025, and the final paper submission deadline on 5 October 2025.
