Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In the field of medicine, the recent introduction of POCUS (point-of-care ultrasonography) into daily clinical practice has instilled a change in our approach to renal disease.

The main objective of this Special Issue of Medicina is bring attention to these changes: from the management of systemic congestion in patients with cardiorenal syndrome to the assessment of arteriovenous fistula in patients with haemodialysis.

We invite fellow nephrologists, cardiologists and/or internists to share their experiences and knowledge with original studies, case series, narrative reviews, systematic reviews and/or meta-analyses in this Special Issue, titled ‘Kidney Disease and Management in the Era of POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasonography)’. This will enable contributors to support this emerging field within medicine, which aims to improve the quality and precision in the increasingly personalised management of patients with kidney disease.
