The 14th Asia-Pacific Marine Biotechnology Conference (APMBC 2026)

Established in 1995, the Asia-Pacific Marine Biotechnology Conference (APMBC) has evolved into a prestigious and authoritative academic gathering. Over the past three decades, APMBC has successfully convened 13 times across major cities in the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, China, India, South Korea, Hawaii (USA), and Australia, attracting thousands of leading international scholars and industry professionals.
Through the successful organization of successive conferences, APMBC has become an essential nexus for driving innovation in marine biotechnology, facilitating deep integration among academia, industry, and research institutions, and strengthening international scientific cooperation. The conference plays an increasingly important role in building a sustainable blue economy, promoting balanced protection and development of marine resources, and achieving harmonious coexistence between humanity and the ocean, contributing significantly to building a shared future for humanity and the ocean.
The 14th Asia-Pacific Marine Biotechnology Conference (APMBC 2026) will be held from September 9 to 12, 2026, in Yantai, China. With an expected scale of over 300 participants, the conference, under the theme "Marine BioTech for Sustainable Human–Ocean Harmony," aims to establish itself as the premier marine biotechnology platform in the Asia-Pacific region, driving innovation, fostering international collaboration, and advancing the sustainable blue economy.
As the conference returns to China after many years, APMBC 2026 will continue the excellent tradition of the conference, focusing on cutting-edge research and industrial applications of marine biotechnology, and providing a high-level platform for academic exchange and collaboration for experts, scholars, enterprises, and industrial sectors in the global marine biotechnology community.
