15th Nordic Seaweed Conference

The Nordic Seaweed Conference is an international event dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation within the seaweed and macroalgae sector. Organized annually by AlgeCenter Danmark, the conference brings together scientists, established companies, policymakers and emerging entrepreneurs to share ideas, build partnerships and explore the latest research and industry developments in seaweed cultivation and applications.
At the conference, participants benefit from a dynamic two-day program that includes keynote presentations, scientific sessions, poster exhibitions and networking opportunities. An important goal is to foster collaboration across disciplines and sectors to support sustainable growth in the macroalgae industry and address real-world challenges such as climate change, food systems and sustainable materials.
Networking plays a key role in the event’s success. Attendees frequently form new collaborations, develop exciting projects and find business partners during the conference. The mix of research, industry insights and entrepreneurial energy makes the Nordic Seaweed Conference a pivotal meeting place for anyone engaged in seaweed science, innovation or business development.
Typical conference features include formal sessions with international speakers, a “Seaweed Happy Hour” showcasing innovative seaweed products and opportunities to connect with delegates from around the world representing science, industry and policy.
