The 6th Seaweed for Health Conference 2026
Seaweeds are an incredibly rich source of nutrients and bioactives worldwide. At the “Seaweed for Health” conference we will present an interdisciplinary discussion on the health-promoting properties of seaweed compounds and share novel developments for functional ingredients that can be used for the formulation of food, feed, nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals and pharmaceuticals. Furthermore, toxicological aspects and regulatory issues will be discussed, as well as some barriers for industrial exploitation and commercialization.
In order to facilitate exchange between academia and industry, a small local industry exhibition will be held during the conference.
The conference will include a cooking show, seaweed collection and a one-day tour to Zanzibar.
We invite you to present your proposals in Dar Es Slaam and Zanzibar, Tanzania on June 16-19, 2026.
